Things to Do When Visiting Elkhart, Indiana

Elkhart for the Tourist

City of Elkhart

As much as we like to think that your only reason for coming to Elkhart is  visiting Phoenix Cruiser for a free factory tour where you can literally watch our B+ RV’s being built, and speak with our knowledgeable employees on the factory floor, we do acknowledge that you might be looking for other things to do during your stay (or after picking up your new RV!). To that end, we want to share some of our favorite things to do in and around Elkhart.

Okay, several exciting updates to share with you about the Recreational Vehicle/Motor Vehicle Hall of Fame located just down the street from the Phoenix Cruiser Motorhome Factory…  First: the hall of fame has revised their overnight guest parking to allow for up to two nights for each visiting coach!  Yes, you may park in one of their deluxe pull-through RV parking spaces the night before and the evening after you visit the hall of fame.  The cost is included with your admission fee!  Please note this is dry camping only and no security is provided.  Second: the GO RVing hall just unveiled a new exhibit featuring a throwback 1954 Shasta travel trailer parked next to a 2015 reissue of the same coach!

Linton’s is open for the season, just a 5 minute drive down CR 17 from Phoenix Cruiser.  This year’s new addition is a miniature train and station in the Southeast corner of the property near the petting zoo.  There is no admission fee, but this is a real nursery and landscaping center that doubles a fantastic tourist destination.  There is a café available for lunch too!
