1  Main Forum / General Discussion / Re: towing. is it worth it for a 24ft? on: March 20, 2016, 11:49:28 am
Before getting our PC 3100 we owned a 24 ft motorhome and went out west for 7 weeks.  We were so glad we had our toad with us.  It enabled us to stay in one area for a few days and make day trips to various areas.  2 Frazzeled has some good suggestions for you also.
We tow a 2009 Honda CRV.

I have towed a Ford Ranger 2wd and had no problems with speed restrictions.  I had a Honda scooter on the back.
Safe travels.

1 - We travel from Venice, FL
2 - We travel to New Jersey with a lot of side trips on the way.
3 - We leave in May and Return in September.  (To hot in Florida)
4 - 10 years
5 - We have great friends in both areas. And in between.
6 - 2 Years ago we did a reversal, sold our NJ home and bought a home in Venice FL.  To us it's paradise, but hot in the summer.

Hi Barry & Sue
We stay at Butterfly Campground in Jackson, NJ in the summer.  You will need a toad to go any where, it's in the woods.  A lot of family's on weekends but quiet during the week.  Owners are great people. They live in Ft Myers during the winter.  Unfortunately we will be heading south next week or we could get together.  Hope to see you in Florida this winter.

Margo and I enjoyed your pulled pork you served when we met you.  I don't know if that was from your cook book but it was delicious.  We will have to cook dinner for you guys the next time you are in our area.  Keep in touch. Safe travels.

We stayed at Corp of Engineers campground near Eufaula, AL.  White Oak (Creek).  It is on a lake and a nice stop.
Most COE Parks are really nice.
Thanks for the great dinner when we got together.

We know you will love your PC.  We have a 2012 Model 3100 and live in Venice FL. Enjoy your unit and call or stop by some time.  We try to get on the road once a month for a short trip.

I love the twin bed layout ( not that I don't enjoy sleeping with my wife ).  I am an early riser and my wife enjoys sleeping in on some mornings.  I can get up read the PC Forum, as I am now, and catch up on the news and sports.  All other things can be worked out.  I hang my glasses close by and we have velcro on our clock and tv remote.
