Paul says the problem is the unusually high atmospheric temperatures. We have this problem in Texas all the time! The roads actually expand in length and the GPS has no way to know this, so using its old memorized maps it gives the wrong speed calculation. That's why the rest of the country is experiencing the problem this year! It's hot everywhere.

Thanks for an entertaining afternoon! rolling on the floor

Balloons That's wonderful news! It sounds like you made a good choice. We just picked up our 2100 w/slide July 10th and love it. Can't imagine not having the slide for the extra room. Glad you had the great experience the rest of us have had working with the crew, Stuart, Amanda and Kermit, as well as their staff, at Phoenix, from making changes to the layout at the beginning all the way to fixing a few small things and changes when we picked it up. One thing that impressed us (along with many other things) was when we went back a couple of times our requests or fixes were worked on immediately. We weren't put off to the end of the line.

Reporting in!! We picked up our 2013 2100 on Monday! Yeahhhhhh!  Heart Shower
We love it. As everyone has said all the folks at Phoenix have been super with explaining things and giving us the information we need. Have been back a couple of times for very small tweaks and they have taken care of them immediately. e.g. We asked for a narrow shelf in the bathroom behind the toilet going from the cabinet top over to the shower. They did a beautiful job. The lid would stay up which was fine with Marilyn but the toilet seat wouldn't stay up.   shrug Oops. They shaved off a curved sliver so they both stay up. No problem! We weren't expecting a porcelain toilet with a foot flush but it has one and it's great. The latest models have a pull-down shade (with no interval stops) on the kitchen door and they had installed one. We asked for a venetian blind and they changed that without a problem. The passenger seatback in the 2100 is normally a bit straight up. They hinged the dining seatback to tip toward the table and that lets the passenger seat recline to be more comfortable.

It has the 32" TV, which is bigger than the our biggest TV at home!. The local reception is great even without the antennae up. Amanda said she thinks the only things new so far for the 2013 models are the 32" TV, the pin-hole finish ceiling material (looks good), and the option of wood floors. The wood floors are pretty but we stayed with the vinyl flooring. We like the maple finish of the cabinetry. The smaller space needs the lighter color to open it up. We got the cab screens from Amanda and love them. Well worth it.

We chose the standard paint finish with a Sterling swoosh and we really like it. We've had several people here at the campground compliment us on the Cruiser and we even gave a guy a brochure in the WalMart parking lot yesterday. Amanda gave us a few brochures for give-away.

We've probably forgotten some important details to relate but what it boils down to is "WE LOVE OUR CRUISER!!".
Thanks for all the helpful info we've gotten from the Forum these past months and for all your good wishes. ThankYou
Hope to see you all at the reunion in Kerrville, TX in Septemter.

Aimee, we picked up our 2013 2100 on Monday. Love it!! We're still in Elkhart and heading north tomorrow. Will be back home in Texas in a couple of weeks or so, that's Benbrook, Texas, (or Fort Worth for anybody who doesn't know Benbrook). We'd be happy to show off our new baby. Most people want a larger Cruiser but they could tell about the workmanship, etc. from ours.

PS: We're planning to go to Kerrville if they still have spaces. I've emailed them to ask.

James, we live in Benbrook, TX. Don't know if you are anywhere close to that. We just picked up our 2013 2100 Monday and love it. We're still in Elkhart. We'll be on the road for 2 or 3 more weeks and then back home. If we're anywhere near you we'd be glad to show it off.

Thanks all. Just now able to get back on line. Have had a lot of trouble getting wi-fi reception at the cg's as we came up. We're in the Elkhart CG right now and will pick up our 2100 today!! Can't believe this day has finally come. Will let you hear any details later, maybe tomorrow since we'll be repacking all our junk (good stuff!) into the Cruiser this afternoon.

rolling on the floor Aimee, that's funny!! Ours will be a smaller whale, with a Sterling swoosh. We think that will look very neat and clean, and, saves us a bunch of money! We don't fit into the discussion of FB or LB colors since we are going the minimalist route.

However, as someone who was on the fringes of advertising and the printing world my whole working life, there's no such thing as a perfect, or even sometimes near perfect, color match or photo. There's always room for improvement. And, often perfection is in the eye of the beholder.

And also, as folks looking for an rv that fits our needs as nearly as possible, we found the brochure and multiple photos on the PC website extremely useful. I have generally (Paul asks, generally?!) obsessed in looking at all the photos trying to imagine our rv life in the Cruiser. As important as outside photos are, inside is where we're going to be living.

Of course sometimes we've wondered about whether the thing-a-ma-bob we have would fit into a certain cabinet, and, why don't they have a photo of that cabinet open (along with dimensions!) but we're sure nobody else needs that particular information.

We really enjoy the discussions on the Forum. Aimee, we're glad you're there to referee. Thanks for the website, the Forum, the photos and brochure information. It all helped us decide on our Cruiser which we'll be picking up in the next few weeks. Just can't wait.

Did you get my much delayed email last night? Thought I'd check to see if you did. I had sent it wrong the first time. Still learning how to use all the features of the Forum. Anyway, yes, I did get your message and I appreciate the tip!  Smile

HiThere Welcome from some "soon-to-be" Cruiser owners to the Forum. We'll be picking up our new 2100 (hopefully) in about a month in Elkhart. You'll find the folks on this Forum extremely helpful. Just ask, and they answer! We've been to Alaska twice, once for just a cruise and once for a land-tour/cruise. We loved it but weren't able to spend enough time there.
