We have one chip on our Honda after pulling it for three years.  I bought a protect-a-tow that I use for long trips, but we don't worry with it for weekend jaunts of less than 100 miles.  Ours is a 3100.

Thanks to both of you for the observations.  I keep thinking that we should just take the time to go to the factory and see what we find.  We did buy our 3100 at a Good Sam rally, and I went up there thinking that was what I wanted anyway.  Years ago we had a C with opposing slides up front, and we liked that a lot.  Our bed was also tight in that one.  We really liked the floorplan, but the "big" manufacturer had lousy service and totally turned us off to what could have been a good coach for us.  We prefer one bed rather than the twins in the 3100.  That is a part of what has drawn us to the 2910.  I wish there was a "show" coming up not too far from us soon, but who knows.  I have not tried the bed in a 2910, so that will have to be a place to start.

Thanks again.

My wife and I have a 3100 that we have enjoyed very much, but for a variety of reasons we are drawn to the 2910T.  In some ways this will be another "downsizing" for us.  The rig before the PC was a 39 foot diesel pusher.  (Is that how you spell die...dei..oh well)  My concern relates to the inside storage differences in the two coaches.  The front of the 3100 appears to have more cabinet space, and we have a bit more storage in the bedroom.  Can you give me some "'assurances" that if we made it from a 39 foot Newmar A to a PC3100 we can surely make it to a 2910T.  Your input would be greatly appreciated.

It was fun to see that others have found and use these things.  We saw one during one of our RV club camping wife fell in love with it and wanted one.  I bought one, gave it to her as a present...she said "It is the most romantic gift I've gotten from you in our 52 years of marriage!"  Hmmmmm.  That must say something about my romantic ablilties.

She killed a couple of yellow jackets with it the other day and got really excited.  It's good to find something she really likes.   Heart Shower Now if I could just find one of those little bug guns we would make a real pair.

I have a Protect-a-Tow that works well.  Fits under the hitch from the PC to the Honda.  Costs about $220.00, but it is easy to use.  Here is a link.

Well, I finally got around to looking into my seat problem.  Turns out that the control wires were routed through the opening that the control cog travels.  The cog cut through the wire loom and shorted things out.  My solution was to cut the wires (about 6 or 7 of them) on both ends, pull the severed ones out, re-route them, and splice them back together.  IT WORKED!!!

Oh...the reason it took so long to get to???? It finally cooled down here in Texas to do things on the PC.

Again, thanks for the additional comments.  I am back in Texas now, and I will take the time to follow up on possible causes for the short. is HOT here compared to northern NM.   pulling hair out

By the way...I pulled into TreeTops RV park in Arlington today and there is another PC here.  Don't see that often out here.  I'll have to check to see who it is.

Thanks for the comments.  Bob, I did look under the seat and couldn't spot anything easy to check out.  John, I forgot that the Ford warranty was longer than the one on the coach.  Even though Ron is probably right, I will still attempt to check it out with Ford when we get back home.  Meanwhile we will just enjoy this cool weather and the beautiful mountains.

We have taken our PC from Texas to cool Eagle Nest, NM (between Angle Fire and Red River) and are enjoying the weather and RV friends.  I have a few weeks before we return power seat on E-450 doesn't work.  I checked the fuse and found it was blown.  I put in another one...and guess what?... exactly!  It blew!  Any ideas on where to start chasing down the electrical problem causing this?

On the good side, the seat is at my normal driving position so that I can get home in late August if I don't solve it, but since you guys are so smart, I thought I would ask.

BJ and I want to add our "Welcome" to Earl and at the same time say a quick "Farewell" to Stuart.  Stuart spent a lot of time with us at Louisville this past summer, and sold us our 3100.  We enjoyed working with him and meeting his wife while we were at the Rally.  We wish him well in whatever path he follows.  (If you see Stuart, tell him I still can't spell "nint...ninetie...oh well...90!)  obliged

I didn't seem to have the intellectual capacity to respond to this.  However, my wife BJ did. (Any of you who met her in Kerrville will find it in keeping with her personality.)

She said, "I would want to be President of the United States...and "DRILL, BABY, DRILL' into that 2000 year reserve we have trapped underground!!!!" HighFive

Of course, if we did that, there would be plenty of gas for our PC's
