 ThankYou  forall the replys

A little about ourselves, the last time I went camping in any kinda of rv was in the '60's, after high school I enlisted in the Army as a 11b Infantryman '79-'91 , so throwing down a sleeping bag or wrapping up in a poncho liner was the norm.  After getting out I swore not to sleep on the ground anymore  LOL.

As far as tools I worked for Goodyear as a auto tech, so the only thing I'll have to get is a smaller tool box and figuring out which tools to bring.

The reason for wanting a larger bed is the DW has said "I can't sleep right if we are not in the same bed", she's 5' 6" and I'm 6' 2", there are not many beds that I've found that we can both be comfortable in, most of the time my feet are hanging over the end.

With the talk of cords, during the research I've done so far the vast majorty have said that with 30 amp you have to watch what you use, and with 50 amp you can run most anything you want. I have seen the only way to get 50 amp on a PC is to get another ac unit, have ya'll found that 30 is ok or do you wish you had the 50 ?

There is so much we would like to have added to the one we will order, one thing that would be nice is a small window in the lower half of the door, we would be takeing a couple dogs and 1-2 cats with us, ( DW is the crazy cat lady  rolling on the floor ) the main thing holding us back from our wish list is we are both disabled, she is on ssdi, as am I along with being 70% with the VA, I messed up my back when I was in the Army.

Another question, have anyone that has used the "stinky slinky" found out that you needed a longer hose at any time?

Thank you  Aimee ( hope I don't have to call you misstress)

DW saw the photos and said she liked it, so I guess that's what we'll get.

Hopefully ya'll will not get mad if I ask a LOT of questions, the first one is have anyone heard/used this ETERNABOND, if you have would it be a good idea to use it on all seams right from the get go?

number two, is there anything you need to use the camper that isn't there when you get it, not pots and pans but any hoses, or hook ups, the basic stuff.

number three, I know you can ask for things to be added, can we buy things and ask they be added like, side view cams and satellite dish  to be added.

number four and this might be dumb, does the rear ladder make any noise going down the road, I'm about 50-50 on haveing it installed.

number five, we are thinking about getting a Prest-O-Fit Patio Rug 8' x 20', is there enough room to store it outside, or do we have to have it inside on the floor rolled up? Also how about chairs or are they a inside item too ?

I guess that's enough for now, we'll have more the more we look online.

Hi  Wink

I'm still here, just been doing some research online and I am getting some ideas and a whole lot of questions that I will post, we have made up our minds on a 2552 I think I can turn the two beds into a queen without much trouble.

Thanks for all the welcomes,  The main reason we want a queen bed is because the DW says she can't sleep right without me in bed next to her. I think where we live and would have the PC, anything bigger than a 2551,2552 wouldn't fit on our lot/diveway.  Right now we are waitting on the VA, if you know anything about them it's like being back in the Army all over again, hurry up and wait, after over 20 years I'm used to it but DW isn't.

Hello my wife and I are new to the site and for her rv's, we are looking for one to see the grandkids in Fla. sometime. It has been years since I have been in one, ( the '60's) and my dad built it out of a old chevy van.
By what I have seen so far PC's are at the top of the list with what is standard on them, and by what I have read on here there is just a few things we would like to change. We would like a 2551 but with a queen bed in the back and the bathroom split where the two beds are now and maybe a in motion sat tv dish. We are both disabled, her with 2 heart attacks, and I hurt my back in the Army and am rated at 70% from the VA.

If you are ever going though central Iowa, the  two big supermarkets here ( hy-vee and dahl's) have them too.
