2  Main Forum / General Discussion / Re: 5 Star Tune on: August 26, 2014, 04:17:46 pm
Hello All,
Installed the 5-Star Tunner last week, did a run from Peoria, IL to Avon, IN. My 3100 ran very well and only dropped to 3 gear on 1 hill. The RPMs only incressed about 300 RPM on most of the inclines on the I74. Ran in cruse all the way. Ran in Tow Mode on the way there and not Tow Mode on the way back. They both ran about the same above 50 MPH. With the Tow Mode under 50 MPH the RPMs stayed about 2000 RPMs in the 45 MPH zones, where the Non-Tow Mode the RPMs dropped to 1500 RPMs. Which I like a hole lot better. Over All I am very pleased with the 5-Star Tunner. Had a Hypertech tunner on my GMC 8.1 and it didn't do as good, but Hypertech could not do anything with the Allsion Transmission. That the big difference.

One of the things I do to cool the passenger side is to put the heat controls on both or floor and turn the temp. all the way down and this will turn the air cond. on and cool the area a little bit. It's not the full air cond. but just enough to blow some cool air down there.

8  Main Forum / General Discussion / Re: Does PC-USA Offer A Memory Foam Mattress For Their Permanent Beds? on: April 22, 2014, 10:13:19 am
Don't have a foam mattress but we have a Mattress Company here in Peoria, IL that will custom buit a mattress to any size and hardness you would want, have used them at home for over 40 years. We have them make new one for us the day we got our 3100 home. We have the twins beds and they ran about $450 each. It will take up to 1 month to have it made. Hope this will help. Bad thing is they weigh a ton, not really but they are heavy.

9  Main Forum / General Discussion / Re: How and where to mount a larger GPS? on: April 14, 2014, 10:31:15 pm
I use the suction mount, it will come down in real hot weather so keep an eye on the suction mount, it will start getting loose then just drop off. No problem most of the time unless you are driving down the road.

I use the 7 Inch Garmin RV 760, I installed it on the left lower corner of the windshield.  I can see it very well and does not get in the way of anything.

I got lucky back in 2006, I had gotten a Roady add on for my car, it's a removeable head unit, that way I could use it in both cars. Then in 2008 XM radio at the time came out with a life time subscription, which I got, so you might call and see if they still have it. So I'm still switching the head from one car to the PC and back. When we were in New Foundland. it was great because you only got one station and it way mostly in French. Happy Travels.

While on a trip to CA. ran into some deep curbing out of gas stations and bottom out. It bent the holder for the 7 pin plug and broke the housing for the plug, I moved it to the bumper next to the license plate. I also got a coaster for the hitch to keep it from scraping the ground on my 2013 3100

We were on the Winter Oasis In Jan. and had beautiful weather in the South West, 65 to 80 every day with low humidity, Did have a few days with strong winds but other then that a great time. We were with Hex and Sandy on the West Coast trip last fall, Say Hi for us. We saw 2 PC on the West Coast trip and one on the Winter Oasis trip. Hope you have a great trip. On the way home we hit Zero Degree over night and the PC did great. Only used the LP for heat that night. Hope to see you at the Myrtle Beach Reunion in Oct.
