...I may be biased, but it sounds to me like the 2551 or 2552 is going to be the perfect home away from home for you and your sister due to the twin bed layout...

Greg & Juliana - thanks so much for the welcome!  And for the advice.  That's what I am looking for -- I would probably look at the 2552 as it has that extra chair up front and that's what we like about the 2350.  Haven't seen the Euro chair in person, but it looks like it would be very relaxing; nice place to work on the laptop for sure.  The twin beds of the 2552 would be similar to our PW layout -- but we were thinking that two separate sleeping areas for sisters in the 2350 might be an added bonus.

I will continue to listen to responses to this and my other post regarding sleeping comfort of the couch in the non-slide 2350.  I'm excited to be part of the group here and am anxious to get down to see Stuart at the factory and finally get inside a PC.
32  Main Forum / General Discussion / 2350 or ? What did you choose and why? on: July 29, 2012, 10:36:19 am
As a "newbie" on this forum, I am obviously trying to gather information for what I hope to be my impending purchase of a PC -- I've read lots of posts from those of you who have purchased multiple units from Phoenix, attesting to the quality that you found, but also raising the question of "getting it right" the first time.  I would really like to know from your experiences what you chose, why, what you wish you had chosen, and (for some of you) why you traded up/down...

As somebody considering moving on up from a B into a B+, I really do want to get it right the first time.  I know that none of you can choose for me, but before I head out to Elkhart for my look-see, I was hoping to get the benefit of your experiences and choices.  I'd like to be as smart as Ron and his wife were in '07 choosing their 2350 and hoping to stay with it for the long run as they did both times.

As 2 sisters traveling with dogs -- obviously we're not going to be as handy as some of you guys who can make mods and repairs to your rigs, so I'd like to make the best decision I can right up front.  We are concentrating on the 2350 from the information on the PC website.  One sister (& her spoiled dog!) can sleep in the back, and one (hopefully) on the couch bed.

Questions:
  • Anybody with experience sleeping on the couch (whoops! no sad stories about being in the dog house!)  Embarrassed  Comments on comfort?
  • Those of you with dogs, anything you like/don't like about the setup in your rig?
  • As a single and not-so-handy-woman, I'm worried about structural integrity and maintenance of a slide, but I also realize that many of you have chosen them.  My current thinking is to opt for the less room for living (in spite of traveling with dogs) and go for the presumably sounder, more weather-proof slide-less version.  Your thoughts?

Thanks again.  I tried to search out answers to these questions before posting, but would appreciate your current thoughts on what you own and why...

....Why don't you start off with a little introduction and tell us a bit about yourself?

So, I started hanging out with y'all a week or so back, reading everything I could find about the PC.  I've pretty well decided that I will be heading into a PC shortly.  I hope to go to Elkhart in the next week or two to visit and see everything firsthand.

First of all, you are some of the friendliest, most helpful folk I have found "out there" in a long time.  Congratulations for that!  Cheers

I'm heading into retirement years and travel with my sister and our dogs.  We're currently in a Pleasure Way B  ...BUT (and you all seem to know that means a change!) ...we have decided that what we would really like to do is take a year off and travel around before settling down somewhere probably in the Southwest near our friends.  That year would be difficult in our PW B for two sisters (although some married couples manage to do it).  I try to do my research first, and that is what brought me to you here on the PC forum.  I'm out here listening to everything you say, so keep talking and I will start asking some questions.  Thanks, in advance, for your welcoming -- and I am hoping we will get to know some of you in person along the way.
