16  Main Forum / General Discussion / Re: video camera has a blue screen and no video on my last leg coming home on: September 12, 2013, 08:27:00 pm
I've had two sony monitors go out on me Kermit says if it a blue screen it is usually the camera, if it is blank it is normally the monitor. Still waiting on the second monitor. Factory replaced the first one, didn't feel like driving to get second one installed so I asked them to send one to me. I hope this doesn't keep happening, theis is the second in less than a year.

Welcome Randall and Chris,
I see you live in MI part of the time. I live in NW Ohio and have a 2552. I'd be glad to show it to you and take a drive if you are anywhere near me. Send me a note if this sounds good and we can make plans to get together.

I agree completely! I had a 2350 with a MB front end and after a year switched to the 2552. Love it so far. The 2350 was nice but I couldn't get use to the bed/bath area. I've put about 6,000 miles on the 2552 this summer so far and have no complaints. I did do some suspension upgrades (listed in another post) and am glad I did. I also added provision to make the two twin beds into a full size (also in another post) but haven't used it yet. Glad you have one you enjoy now.

I just had that problem also. What's happening is the cable is sticking a little. Pull the foot piece all the way out and look under the couch, you'll see where the cable ends. I sprayed it with some dry silicone and kept working both ends of the cable with my hands. Seemed to work. I think I had to open up the slide out to give myself more room.

The roof is a One-Piece Fiberglass Roof as stated in the pamphlets from PC. I'd be careful with what you use up there in case you need to work up on the roof it could become rather slippery if wet. With that being said, a good boat wax would protect it if needed.

I won't be able to attend the reunion this year but unless there is a reason to camp in Elkhart you might want to check out Frankenmuth, MI. The town has a nice street with many shops to walk down and a few miles away is a huge outlet mall. From there the reunion area is only about 3 hours away.

Had a group of around 20 people tailgating waiting for the Kenny Chesney concert. So many people loved the PC, too many compliments to mention. Then today on the way home, I stop in a rest stop and a motorcycle couple from Georgia stopped and wanted to look inside. Said they were going to check our the web site for further details. said they never seen a PC before and just loved it.

Bob,
I did the same thing, although I took mine to Mainline Truck and Trailer in Bedford, Ohio. They were trained and recommended by Henderson. Handling was good before changes but improved after. I feel it was money was spend.

I just had my 2552 weight and they recommended air pressures. Weights were LF 2160, RF 2100, LR 3820, RR 3780. Total weight 11,800, no water in tanks. Recommended pressure were 65 all around, Although I keep slight over 70 in all and it handles and rides fine. I also had new sway bars, trac bar, sumo springs and shocks put on.

I fill mine up at home and travel with it. Figure 40 gallons is only 320 lbs, if you have a ford frame it shouldn't be a concern. A Sprinter frame may be a different story as it is too near weight limit empty.

McMaster-Carr or Graingers probably carry it. It is used in the equipment industry and it is basically a cheap teflon. I used it quite a bit when designing/building manufacturing equipment. The slip stick you found is most likely the same material or equivalent.

I copied this from one of my earlier posts. Included are some of the suspension upgrades I added which I believe has helped the handling greatly.

They used Roadmaster Anti-sway and trac bars. I also had them put on Koni shocks, sumo springs and a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer. They weighed each corner and it was similar to weights others have posted. These are with holding tanks empty:
LF-2160, RF-2100
LR-3820, RR-3780

They recommended 65-70psi in each tire.

I just returned from a shake out trip from northwest Ohio (where I live) to Augusta Ga (The Masters tournament). I took Rt 23 to Rt 33 to Rt 77. My PC handled great, no issues at all. The three guys in the back also commented on how well it rode and handled. 77 has some pretty steep grades and the cruise didn't handle those too well but when I turned it off I had no problem. Normally I was cruising around 65mph and the rpm's were staying around 2500. Some of the hills got them slightly over 3000 and speed slowed down slightly but not much. I know there has been many questions about gas mileage also, I averaged about 8.5 mpg for the entire trip of about 1700 miles. Only had about 1000 miles on it before the trip so still some break in going on, but for the grades I was going up it's about what I expected.
