We tried the flagship McGuires and in the most oxidized place on the fiberglass over the windshield, it's not doing that much.  Somebody said the buffer which has a micro fiber cloth on it, isn't enough.  Three tries isn't getting all the oxidation off. Now What?

Got customer service on the phone today with Jenson.  The remote works fine, it's the TV that's broken.

Ron, wouldn't you think the genuine part should work best?
64  Main Forum / General Discussion / Jensen rear TV issue on: July 16, 2013, 08:47:25 pm
When we bought our used 2551, the remote was missing for the Jensen.  The dealership has ordered us 4 remotes now and none of them work.  They are calling Jensen with the serial number etc. and getting the proper parts but none work.  Any ideas?

Maybe I should call her again.  It's been several weeks now and no call back.  That's great to hear.

I requested the same thing.  We tried calling the factory.  They never got back to us as to whether they had any old ones left.  The manufacturer wants about $50 plus shipping to send a pair!

68  Main Forum / General Discussion / Air mattress instructions? on: July 05, 2013, 05:27:42 pm
What brand is our sofa?  I can find no instructions on how to use the air mattress.  I don't want to cause damage to the mattress when we fold it up and the inflator box doesn't seem to fit like I thought it should.  Can anybody pass on instructions to me on folding up of the couch?

Yes, turn on the sound sound (DVD) player, go into the menu and change the input setting to ??? Until the sound comes out the five speakers. I think it is set to aux, but not sure.

Yep, Aux2 did it and the volume knob on the unit helps to turn it up too.  Lots better now. Thanks.

We can hardly hear each other talk on the sofa.  Also, at 100% volume on the TV, we can't hear it over the A/C.  Is there a way to make it louder?  Seems the speaker on the TV is partially covered up by upholstery.  Is there a way to use the auxiliary speakers with the TV if you aren't watching a DVD?

Bergie, congratulations.  We just had our first trip in our 2551 too.  Little things to work out but we love it.

Hope you find many happy  miles ahead.   Wink

when I first bought the beast home and cleaned it up I used another brand of floor polish it was ok,,,,can not seem to find the Pro Max anywhere local,,tried a bunch of sites, ebay, amazon also,,hmmmmmm this sounds like a good product,,, I also keep my beast indoors,,, but want to add some more protection to the fiberglass areas  may have to go with the marine polish... some guy up in Washington on craigslist had a bunch of it maybe I ought to contact him see if he would ship it to Texas

An RV friend of mine is a member of a detailing group and really into McGuires products.  He recommend the McGuires flagship cleaner/wax.  It's available in a large 32 oz. bottle on Amazon.  Supposed  to really get the oxidation off and leave a nice sheen.  I think it's marine focused too.

Only issue was that an L bracket would have been nice for the water connection.  Our plumber consult said just bend the fitting a bit and it will be fine as long as the flow is adequate and it is.  What an upgrade this model is!  Has a foot pedal too.
