The screen is frayed and coming out of the channel at the bottom of my screen door.  I don't see any manufactures information in my warranty service info kit.  Any suggestions?   Thanks, 2travel

34  Main Forum / General Discussion / Furnace and Fire Alarm on: December 04, 2013, 10:14:38 pm
Looking for advice again.  I fired up my furnace and within a few minutes my fire alarm located on the ceiling near the cab  said,  " Fire"  "Fire" .   Rear door was open.  Fire alarm has never gone off while I was using the cook top or micro wave.  It is a replacement fire alarm I installed in July.  No other alarms ( LP Leak Detector or Carbon Monoxide Alarm ) went off and I did not have a fire.  Is the fire alarm too sensitive?  I reset it and recycled the furnace 2 more times with the same result. Should I get one that just alarms with just smoke?  Or, turn off the fire alarm when I cycle on the furnace?  Is there something going on I should know about?

Thanks in advance for your insights and suggestions.  2travel   Steve

List it and see what happens.  One of us might want it or be able to refer a friend to you.
36  Main Forum / General Discussion / Window tint, driver and passenger side windows on: November 16, 2013, 05:21:43 pm
HI All,

I am considering having the driver and passenger side windows tinted to stay cooler on next years trip through the western National Parks.  Any thoughts, pro and con?  I am not sure so if you have had yours tinted, I would like to know how it works for you.

Best Regards,  2travel  Steve

I thought mine cycled on a lot and the manufacturer's info said it was so quiet I would probably not hear it.  I was concerned so I called them.  I had a nice conversation with a technical service guy.   He said mine was quieter than earlier models, 2006.  I suggest you call them, they should be able to tell you if you have a problem or not as they did with me.  Good luck,  2travel ,Steve

Hi All,

I have checked back in and read your comments and suggestions.  It is all good, thank you.  I have had the Safe-T-Plus installed at the Nashville Camping World $712 all in with tax.  I am very happy with the results.  I have the Helwig rear anti-sway bar and helper springs on order.  They will go on next.  Linda and I will be taking the 2100, Lulu to Florida in January.  Hope to see you all in the future.  Thanks again, 2travel  Steve

Hi PCers,

I have a 2006 2100 on a E350 shorter wheel base.  Can you advise me on ways to improve the handling.  I am considering the Safe-T-Plus steering damper.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

How about special shocks and anti-sway bars.

Any experience and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,  2travel    Steve Bowser

HI Phoenix Cruiser Travelers,

Linda and I bought our 2006 used 2100 at the factory in June.  I grew up in Elkhart and retired to Mt Juliet Tennessee in 2008.  We plan to tour Florida and the Keys this January and February and the western parks to Glacier National Park in the spring and summer.  After that, upper Michigan and the north east to the maritime provinces.  Oh yes, a Phoenix Rally as soon as possible.

We have a son in Indianapolis and a daughter in Tuscaloosa Alabama, so we are half way between them.   This makes it easy to check on the three grand children.

We live in a Del Webb 55 and over community.  There is always something going on here but we still find time to travel.

I look forward to chatting and meeting.  I have much to learn about RVing.  Sincerely,  Steve Bowser
