1  Main Forum / General Discussion / Re: towing. is it worth it for a 24ft? on: March 20, 2016, 01:47:25 pm
We owned Winnebago rialta a from 1996 to 2014 and couldn't tow. When we bought the PC, we didn't tow the first year cuz I was afraid.  Then I decided to be a big girl and give it a try. Well, I'll never be without my crv!  Life is so much simpler and easier for a myriad of reasons.  Don't hesitate to tow!

I LOVE our 2350. My husband likes the 2550.  My only complaint is I'd like more Windows that open.

I LOVE my induction hot plate. Use it inside and outside.  My convection microwave is constantly in use.  Oh - once in a while I use the stove in the Moho.

St george island (stop and see us at V1 where were volunteering). St Joseph island is also beautiful. Both have incredible, world class beaches at a nifty $24 per night.

We also use 2 tv tables.  So flexible and really meet our needs. If someone wants that nasty table, just let me know.

Almost a trickle of water comes out of all faucets.   City water is on.   Hose passes tons of water.  We must have something clogged at or near the outside attachment thing.  Where is a good place to start looking for the problem? I took all faucets apart and cleaned the filters.   Shower, kitchen, and lavatory faucets are all wimpy.

Is there a way to clean the shower head itself?  I'm not getting water out of all the holes.

We will be in the panhandle for 3 or 4 months beginning the first of December.  We have a 2350 with slide that we are willing to show.

Our first Moho was a 1995 Rialta which I put 88k miles on, including a trip to Alaska with a return on the Stewart-Cassier highway.  Owned an '04 and an '05 rialta after that with another 100+K. Never had a problem with service - stayed away from dealers because they were expensive, often refused to work on it, and often misdiagnosed the problems. Used mom and pop type places. Yes, I was the last person to reach the top of the mountain, but I didn't care. Loved that vehicle until parts became obsolete.

Now - the PC. IT is such a joy to be right up there climbing mountains  - I even pass trucks!  I am in heaven and totally happy with it. No, I don't miss my old Rialta.  Yes, we got the Ford motor just for the zillions of places and abundance of knowledge about it. I doubt these parts will ever go obsolete. I am just too happy with it.   Well, I do miss the 17 mpg at the gas pump. However, the creature comforts more than make up for it.

Problem solved - by my brilliant husband!  Loose connection in the electrical cable connecting car to the Moho shorted fuse #48 under the hood.   Yippee!!

Brake lights and turning signals have quit working while towing our Honda CR-V.  Salt Lake City camping world refused to work on it til October 21. We're 1500 miles from home.

The socket in the Moho shows no power.  20 amp fuse #6 is good. Other fuses in secret places?

The invisibrake lights have also quit working.

What a dangerous mess we are in.

First day - 6 hours on the road - someplace in Illinois dying of heat - can't stand that noisy ac. Satalite TV in gear.
Now - can we use the jacks with the car attached?
Am I correct in my memory - start the car and run through all gears before hitting the road tomorrow?

Leaving for a big michigan to west coast trip.  First time towing a Honda CR-V with our 2014 2350 PC.

1.  How do you utilize cruise control?  When do you use it and when not?
2.  What is the best speed for efficient mpg and vehicle control?
3.  Special tips  for the novice.  I need your input.

I was totally unaware of the tow-haul feature tii studying this forum. Whew!  So glad I did. I'm leaving it on all the time - since that's what it's for.

Janey (excited as heck!)
