1  Main Forum / General Discussion / Re: Rescreening the Coach screen door on: June 28, 2015, 12:35:27 am
Hello George,
I replaced my screen door last year.  It was not all that difficult to take the door off.  If I can find the instructions I will post here. The top and bottom end caps removed will give you access to the roller. Finding the replacement screen locally was a pain. Most custom glass shops can provide it..
With the screen door off I was able to clean and paint below the channels that just snap off.
I was almost tempted to replace it with a hinged door.

I must admit that I am on Facebook due to the many Veterans Groups and RV Groups.  I'm a big fan of Living The RV Dream podcasts and FB page. I also belong to 5  Navy veterans groups, including the Tonkin Gulf Yacht club.

I joined the Phoenix Cruiser FB page because of the many great friends that I have made at the Rallies. Although the activity on the page itself is slow, new people are starting to share pictures and talk about their trips.  It's a good place to touch base with people on the other side of the country.
Sadly, it lacks the participation that you see here in the forum.
If you are on FB and decide to check it out you will find it to be geared toward the Phoenix/Intervec Travel Group.  The folks that sponsor the annual Phoenix Cruiser Rally.  And the next Rally is in Nashville Tennessee in September.

Oh yeah, Phoenix RV USA is also on FB as well. You can always post their as well.

Also, try the Grote industries web site. They manufacture truck and trailer lights Grin

Sparky, try a truck stop. Some of the older Freuhauf  trailers had round marker lights, similar to the one on PC.

Holly, we missed out on the storm. It was just south of Assateague, we did get the wind so I bought a kite to fly on the beach. As for the flies, I got a few bites and for the ones that made it into the MH, they are resting inside my vacuum cleaner.

Gail, Assateague and that area have become a favorite place for us, we will make it an annual trip.
65 years of New England, NH and Maine are old hat. It' s so nice to see other states.

I may post a few more pictures.

14  Main Forum / Tips and Tricks / Re: Converting From Two 12V Batteries To Two 6V Batteries on: May 01, 2015, 07:17:05 am
In preparation for my upcoming trip I find I have a weeping battery. Both batteries are just under a year  old. But will replace them with sealed maintenance free Interstate batteries.  We will be boo ndocking at Assategue Nat'l park so I need good batteries.  I would think about going 6 volt but that would mean rebuilding the battery tray.
I will be interested in how they work for you Ron.

Once again I thank you Ron for this helpful tip.  I will download this info into my RDittmer tips catalog.
I purchased a new macerator from Phoenix when I was at the factory last year, but I will look into the model that you bought.   Thanks again for sharing.
