And as at least one of you who has seen photos of me has already wondered about, the answer is "yes.  Earl is my father, and yes, we do look a lot alike."  LOL

Amanda's still with us, and will stay if Earl and Kermit have anything to say about it. :-) And I assure you that Earl will take good care of y'all.  I promise. Smile When Stuart called me to tell me he was resigning, he told me then that he recommended Earl to fill the position.

Phoenix USA RV announces the resignation of Stuart Bailey as Sales Manager.  It is with thanks and warmest personal regards that we wish Stuart success as he begins this newest stage of his life.

We are very proud to introduce you to our new Sales Manager, Earl Robbins. Earl has a long history of sales and customer service, and began selling RVs in 1984. He has experience from both the sales and managerial sides of the business, and is familiar with working both consumer and commercial sales departments. Earl comes to us highly recommended as someone who incites customer affinity that extends beyond mere brand or even dealership loyalty. We are very excited to present him to you as the new face of Phoenix Cruiser.

Because you guys are the heart of Phoenix Cruiser, I wanted to give you the first news of this.  I'll be releasing the information over the next couple of days to Facebook, on the website, as a press announcement, and in an e-mail.

Anybody have a Sprinter that is in Alabama, or headed that way soon?

as those of you who are my facebook buddies know, I've been working my fingers to the bone in Gatlinburg for the past week. Ahh the life of a mom.  Daughter #2 was in a big dance competition down there, so I've been swamped the last few weeks getting that ready.  AND we've had some things going on behind the scenes at Phoenix, and we've changed things up a little bit.  I have a big announcement tomorrow (nothing bad, don't worry!)

But don't worry, I'm building a new blog portion of our site where we will have testimonials, the occasional post from Phoenix Factory--question answering kinds of things, video walkthroughs, and maybe even the occasional guest post if anyone is up to it. :-)  So my little fingers have been busily coding away, but my brain has been stuck in "I've got to get these kids to Gatlinburg and survive almost a week there" mode for a bit, and the creative (design) part of the process was definitely lagging behind.  I'm hoping my head and inspiration is all refreshed now, and you'll see your new testimonials very very soon.

Until then, thank you SO MUCH, My Lovelies!  Heart Shower  You'll never know how much I appreciate you guys stepping up and showing your units, spreading the word, chipping in when I need it, and holding down the fort when I'm out of town.  Hug2

If y'all would e-mail me some testimonials for the website.  A photo or two (one exterior, one interior, or one on a campsite, etc. ) if you have them would be great as well.  I could use 5-6 sentences total.  I will include your first name and state of residence.

I don't need you to flower it up.  Just be honest.  I'm not going to edit them or anything. I just want real testimonials from real customers either in their dealing with Phoenix or their unit. It doesn't matter if your unit is really new or really old. It doesn't matter if you bought it new or used.  It doesn't matter if you bought it from Phoenix, a dealership, or the previous owner.

You can e-mail it to I will need your real first name and state of residence.  If you want to include your forum name as well (just for my personal information) that would be great, too!

I am going to call her when I get back from my lunch appointment. I sent her some hate mail, then I posted about it on their facebook page.  Then I discovered what they're really doing--sending out e-mails using a service (like Phoenix does) and then using the metrics from the service--who opened, etc. to know who to harass.  Then they send out e-mails without using the service (to skirt the service's anti-harassment/anti-spam rules) to all of those.   You're supposed to use the metrics to know who to unsubscribe. When I get people who haven't opened my last several e-mails, I remove them from the list so as to not bother them.  Then every month I go through and anyone who hasn't clicked on anything in an e-mail for the previous year is culled out. I don't want us to be bothersome.  This company uses those metrics to know who to target and harass.  And all of it violates the rules against sending unsolicited e-mail.

I just wondered if any of you had experience with the company and might know if this seemed like a rogue employee/department, or par for their course.

One of my clients is an RV dealer in his 80's. He owns a small lot that he completely runs himself, from sales to reception. He's also right in the middle of caring for his wife at home, while she struggles with alzheimers and some other medical issues. Because of this, he has upset RV Camping Connect in that he can't reply to their spammy, unsolicited e-mails to him. Look at this beauty I found in his inbox today:

RV Camping Connect <>

My guess is that youre not getting back to me for one of four reasons:

1) We have done something to offend you.
2) You hired someone else and just dont want to hurt our feelings by telling us.
3) Your challenges with finding new customers resolved themselves.
4) You want desperately to call us back, but are trapped under something heavy, and cannot reach the phone.

Wed consider it a personal favor if youd let us know if the problem is one of these, or something we didnt think of.

If its #4, reply to this e-mail and well send help!

75  Main Forum / General Discussion / Heads' Up - A few deeply-discounted deals being announced tomorrow on: February 20, 2013, 12:05:15 am

Y'all know I like to tell you before I send the e-mails out to the masses...tomorrow we are announcing some deeply-discounted special offers.

1. There've been a couple of cancellations from customers who are forfeiting their deposits.  These units are ready to go today, and Phoenix is willing to apply their deposit to the actual purchasers.  You'll have to call Stuart 1-877-754-8535 to get specifics on which floor plans they are, but I think he has photos of them.

2. If you want a custom unit, Phoenix has purchased a limited number of Sprinter and Ford chassis at discounts, and they're willing to pass the discount straight along to the buyer.   These numbers are very limited.  They will be first come, first served.  I don't have any details about them, and the e-mail response will be heavy to this e-mail, so again you need to call Stuart if you're interested.

3. The used inventory is down to almost nothing, and the used market is as strong as it's been in years, so Phoenix is paying top dollar for trades.  Don't be afraid to take one of the above deals because you think you can't make it work with your trade.  Call Stuart.
