I had the same problem on our last trip.  While dumping, the hose came detached from the plastic.  I was dumping black at the time. YUCK.   Good thing my boy was right next to the pump switch and turned it off and closed the valve.  Put a clamp on it right away.

347  Main Forum / General Discussion / air matress leak on: August 03, 2010, 09:35:08 pm
W :helpell my previous post about how much better the air mattress is over the fold out bed has come to haunt me.  Our air mattress sprung a leak.  It happened when the mattress was folded up on top of the air compressor that comes installed on the mattress. The corner of the compressor put a small hole in the bed while traveling down the road.  Now I have to figure out how to repair.  The hole is on the nap side of the air bed.  Any ideas how to fix this?  I am thinking of buying a real mattress that I can lay on top of the rear bed while traveling and then put on the fold out bed/couch at night. Our children use this bed to sleep in so needless to say I have to come up with some sort of fix. Help

Pick up day is the next best thing to sliced bread.....   Enjoy your little machine. Treat her well and she will do the same to you.  We love our 2350 on the Ford Chasis.  We are a little different than most people who have a diesel motorhome and pull a gas toad.  We have a a gas motorhome and tow a diesel jeep liberty.

We were up in Nova Scotia a few years ago and stayed at the Ovens campground overlooking the ocean. Great price and great campround. It was near peggy's Cove, I think in Lunnenberg.  If you are near there and need a place to stay I would try that one.  Wish I was there, but alas work calls.

Just returned on a trip to Maine from N. E. PA.   Towed my Jeep Liberty behind our 2350 Ford.  Towed great except for a little bit of tail wagging dog when big rigs flew by. I think I will have to make some of the chasis upgrades suggested by Ron Ditmer.  When I was pulling a long hill coming our of PA I had to stay in the passing lane to get past the other slow motorhomes pulling toads. No problems on power, that is for sure.

I agree with all of the above. Ours has the air bed and the kids love it.

Well, I gave it one more try today. My son and wife pushed hard on the center of the cover while I turned the handle.  That seemed to give it enough clearance to have the lever click into place.  Thanks for the info.

Hello All:

Well I took my tire cover off yesterday to check out the spare. Now I can't get the cover back on. It is like the lever is too short to lock into the slot.  Is there a special way to put this thing back on?
357  Main Forum / General Discussion / Re: PC 2551 height on: June 12, 2010, 09:28:45 pm
Hi y"all:

Our new 2350 has an in-motion sat installed.  When it arrived here I climbed up top to measure the height of the dome. It is 5 inches higher than the ac unit. My old camper was 10 ft 2 inches high. The new Phoenix is 10 3.  Your 2551 has is taller to begin with because of the chasis.  I am not sure of the manufacturers listed height but make sure you add the 5 inches to that and you will  be fine.  I also agree with Ron on the door thing. Our garage has a 10 ft door and because of the door opener the clearance loses 4 inches.  I never installed a concrete floor in my pole barn, so I just took the farm tractor and and dug the stone floor out to make the Cruiser fit. I did have to put an extension on the garage door as Ron suggested.  Works great. Hope this helps.

I have a 2010 2350 and have figured this out.  Turn your tv on and press the menu button on your Controller .Scroll down to audio and select that.  Options for Ron's fade, balance, etc come up. Select each one and  put the setting where you want.  When you are done set the controller down and let the menu screen go off by itself.  The audio/visual presentation produced by this system is awesome. It is better than the one I have in my home. Our first movie the kids played was Ratatouie!! It was like being in the theater!  Hope this helps.

Hello All.  Our unit arrived here in N E PA. on Tues of this week.  Our 2010 2350(Ford)with slide and air bed sits in the garage waiting for its first trip.  We are a family of four ( 2 boys age 11 and 8) and are waiting for school to end so that our adventures can continue.  We were going to wait  a little longer to purchase this unit but I sold our 2003 Winnebago Vista in 2 days!!.  Gotta love the internet. We ordered the unit with an in motion sat as we are die hard Penn State Fans and need to see the games as we travel.  Love the unit so far.  Kermit's son delivered the unit and about a 1/4 mile from our house he made  sharp turn and scratched the bumper with his toad! His toad was damaged more than the unit and he had a full size Jeep. Ah, such is life. He was upset to say the least.  Life is way too short to worry about things like that. Kermit said to have it fixed and send him the bill.  Kermit's son could not believe I was not upset. Told him I own an insurance agency and deal with this stuff on a daily basis.  Now I have to transfer the license and pay the 6% PA sales tax. Yikes!
