Jim Byrnes was kind enough to drive my wife and me to the concert in Bend at the rally, and that, coupled with over an hour at Octoberfest,  Grin, gave us a chance to know him a little better.  He is a very sharp and personable young man, and I firmly believe, quite intent in building Phoenix, but for the better.  Yes, his partner has done a few turnarounds, and that may come later, but I don't think Jim has anything in mind but improving the company and product.
On product improvement, there are of course some areas, but I don't know of many RVs or trailers, that one can pick up at the factory, and a couple weeks later drive across our country from DE to CA with many stops in between for a month and a half and not have a malfunction or issue!!!
Keep the faith, kids!!!

Safe travels -- we leave tomorrow!!!

FWIW, the "Kant Leak" valves are notorious for leaking - mostly at the "T" connection --- I have one on my 5th wheel that has been repaired and I also have a spare.  Earl indicated when I picked my unit up that their early valves gave them a problem as well, but the new ones are better --- we'll see!!

I have to agree with JATRAX and a couple others... I just picked up my 5th Phoenix Cruiser (2nd 2350 Sprinter) and am most happy so far -- only traveled from Elkhart to MD, but leaving for the rally in Sisters this week.  The slide issue, I'm convinced, was not due to Schwintek (sp) but the small issues noted, as I had two S------tek slides on my 5th wheel with no problems.  Phoenix has ALWAYS responded to any issue I have had - most agreeably, and expeditiously.
In short, I'm a "Happy Camper"

OK Ron, here we go!
First 2350 (2 yrs old) - didm't plan on change immediately. After 2 yrs wanted more room, so
2011, 2552 New - planned on keeping, but gas milage, plus seemed a little big, so
2012 - went to a 2400 Sprinter for milage, size and suspension. Didn't like the layout, so
2012 - 2350 Sprinter which we had for 3 yrs & enjoyed all over N. America, then, 2 dogs
2015 _ went to a 5th wheel which we are keeping for winters in FL, and as an apartment at wife's daughters farm (used to be ours)
2017 - back to the 2350 Sprinter for shorter trips (first is to the rally in OR from MD!!!) and fishing & State & NPs.  THIS IS THE LAST!!!
JacK
BTW, obviously very happy with Phoenix!!!

OK, my 2 cents -- Like many, we started with tents, then horse trailer, horse trailer w/camper, Phoenixs, 2350 Ford, then 2552, & back to 2350 Sprinter which we went many places - all NP, SP, etc and enjoyed traveling and the flexibility, This was a little small for extended stay w/2 fair sized dogs, so went to a 5th wheel.  This is great for 3 month winters in FL, but not for mobility.  For that reason, its back to the 2350 Sprinter for mobility, and will keep the 5th wheel for FL winters, and at the farm when visiting the kids.  Hopefully, this is it!!!

I have to chime in --- this is why I'm back & waiting for my 5th PC!!! We're still keeping the 5th wheel (actually few problems with that, and excellent response from the factory -- awful dealer network) for different reasons, but will "cruise" with the Phoenix. Oh. and the first question I asked Earl was whether Carol & Bob were still with the company!

I'm pretty sure it was Casino Queen RV Park - Good Sam. Others may have better, but enjoy your trip - we'll see you in OR (assuming my Unit is ready by then)..

Syd:
I'm sure Garmp will give you some suggestions, but we stayed at a park in downtown, and went to the arch with Holly & John on our way to the rally in Denver. I'll try to get it and Holly may remember.

This has also been my experience for 8 years that I have owned PCs, --- and the reason my 5th unit is under construction!

GREAT INFO Ron!!! And, as a FYI, Amazon has 4 different models of Accutire gages - one programmable - but bay's price is lower.  Anyway, thanks -- I ordered 2 - you should get a commission!!!

Tom:

We always replaced the sink covers, and plan to continue with the new unit.  Linda puts  dish towel in the burner area to prevent rattling.  The new stoves supposedly don't rattle, but we opted for the "old Style", so will do the same.
