Anyone use the iPad app from Rand McNally?  It looks interesting, but the few reviews on iTunes aren't exactly glowing.  Just wondering if anyone here can give us their thoughts from first-hand experience.

Thanks!

Aimee,

I would be happy to have the folks in the Omaha area look at our 2551 (we are in Omaha ourselves).  Unfortunately, our baby is in the shop right now, and I'm not sure when we'll get it back.  Cry If they can wait a little while, maybe we can set something up.

George,

Had what sounds like the same problem (no pun intended) about a year ago.  Ended up replacing the CCI alarm with a Safe-T-Alert one and have had no issues since.  It was about a ten minute job, very straight-forward (had to be for me to do it!).  However, the layout of our 2006 2551 may be a bit different - sounds like it may be a little harder to get at your unit.

Hope that helps.

I would be conducting a major symphony orchestra.  Of course with that kind of schedule, I wouldn't have time to enjoy my PC  Cry

The AllStays Camp & RV app for iPad and iPhone shows low clearances on lots of routes.  I looked at NY and decided that I won't be going anywhere near there  Smile
7  Main Forum / General Discussion / Replacing LP detector on: June 25, 2012, 09:30:44 pm
The LP detector in our '06 2551 appears to have gone bad.  It's a CCI Controls model 7771, but CCI is no longer in business, and I'm having trouble finding what will replace it.  Some searches on the Web have suggested an MTI detector, but the dimensions don't look right.

Any advice?

If your laptop has an HDMI output, be sure to check to see if it supports both video and audio.  I know mine has the HDMI connection, but it is video only.  You may want to look in the user manual for the laptop.

billy,

Is the kick panel on the right or left of the driver's side?  I see some panels on the right side (against the engine cover), but no panels on the left, just the leveler control panel, the parking brake, and all sorts of wiring.  There is one 5 amp fuse sort of hanging out there all by its lonesome - checked it and it's OK.  I have no idea what it's for  sad

Should I be trying to pull the panels up against the engine cover?

Our '06 2551S has 2 seatbelts on the couch.  We have taken our grandson (5 1/2) and granddaughter (4) out with no problems.  Their booster seats buckle right in.  Note there are no shoulder harnesses, just lap belts (at least in ours).

I did a search and didn't see anything on this.  Is there a way to manually extend the step from the coach?  Took the PC out for a drive just to check it out before a short trip this weekend, and when we returned, the step would no longer extend.  The light comes on, just no step movement.  It looks to me as if the step motor is between the retracted step and the under-chassis, so I can't get to it to check it out.

Any thoughts or do I need to take it in somewhere to let more professional eyes take a look at it?

TIA - George

Congratulations!  We like your mod ideas - if we ever get a new PC, we would incorporate most, if not all of them.

lmichael - thanks.  What you had in your 2007 is what I have.  I did a little digging through my manuals last night and found the operating guide for a Parallax 7300 series power supply (converter/inverter).  It was in between two manuals for the refrigerator.  I guess the previous owners must not have been as organized as they could have been.  Now I'm going through every piece of paper in the gray vinyl briefcase to see what else is in an odd place!

So you led me to the answer - thanks again.
