Thought I'd post this tip for those Seniors (62+) that are not familiar with the America the Beautiful Senior Pass. The website is http://www.nps.gov/findapark/passes.htm
. What is great about this pass is that camping fees at most federal parks are half price. So those going to WP Franklin this winter (since it is a Corp of Engineering Park), with an America the Beautiful Senior Pass pay half price (i.e. $12). You also get free admission into the Narional Parks as well as half price on most other fees such as Ranger Tours. The pass covers entrance and standard amenity fees for a driver and all passengers in a personal vehicle at per vehicle fee areas (or up to four adults at sites that charge per person). So if you don't personally qualify but your spouse does you can ride on his pass (as I do).
They require that you have your pass with you and you need to also show ID.
