the storage draw seem to be getting a little lose? the next door is the batteries and then entry. Picture 1 shows a couple of things, the bracket for the strut is rubbing (the white line) and i had already replaced the pivot plastic bushing with bolts, they were starting to get oblonged. picture 2 shows the fiberglass is getting thin. Looks like I'll be doing some fiberglass work. Picture 3 shows the block of wood I guerrilla glued, installed an eyelet  and then just used some heavy nylon string. I removed the struts, there is just to much pressure on the hinged part os the door. did this to both side and seems ok

Thanks for sharing this.  I have had trouble with all the struts on these doors since the day we got it.  Right now they are just disconnected.  I haven't decided what to do about it yet.  Maybe this is the answer.

When I was at the Louisville show this year I noticed the struts on a couple units were disconnected - the screws had pulled out of the mounting block on one, and the block itself came unglued on another.   Seemed like a problematic design given the overall high quality of build we've come to expect from PC.   Sounds like the design might need some tweaking.    Surely something they can figure out at the factory.

I noticed a little wear in the pivot holes some time ago. This posting reminded me to look at the door this AM. The problem seems to be to be to much pressure in the gas struts. I drilled a 1/16 hole in the body of the strut to relieve the pressure, they now become hangars. When drilling the hole be careful, some oil will squirt out (on my shirt).
