I was awarded $500 from the factory for helping with a sale by showing our PC to "njheart on the road" & sister.  I emailed Kermit with a unique request.  Instead of a $500 check, I requested $500 (with shipping) worth of upgrades to our PC.

Our PC turned 5 years old in June of 2012.  To control cost when ordering our unit back then, we elected to get the cloth dinette instead of leather, but we had always regretted that decision.  Kermit had Paul's Seating make up leather cushions using a much more dense foam (also by request).  The cushions arrived yesterday and I quickly assembled one bench to compare against the original cushions.  My wife and I agree, the transformation was quite remarkable.  The comfort factor was the "Big Deal".  The new leather bench cushions are so much more comfortable than the older cloth ones.  The increased foam density along with the smooth finish for ease of shifting our weight along with sliding in and out, was the greatest pleasure.

I had also asked Kermit about a stove side splash mirror as well because that feature was introduced later.  Kermit tucked the mirror in between seat cushions.

So today our PC interior has received some great updating which we appreciate so much, and our rig looks even better the next time we show it off.  Some day I'll have to take a few pictures of our dinette with the new cushions.

Thank You Kermit for accomodating my request.  Cheer

Good move, Ron!  This might be a good move for others, as well as the factory.  We can all likely use upgrades or features we didn't order, and its a great incentive to help with sales.

I agree with the leather over cloth too...has many advantages...

Ron,

I am so glad that you were rewarded by Kermit & Company for the time you spent with my sis and I.  You were so gracious to spend the time with us and it really did help us decide that Phoenix was the route for us to go.  That you've been able to "upgrade" your comfort/happiness level with your 2350 probably puts you in the position of pretty ecstatic right about now.  Too bad it's December in Illinois right now and some of us are only exercising the PCruiser by driving out to the state park now and again on the weekend for lunch!  (Work calls, you know!) Hope you two get a chance to get away in your "refurbished" PC soon -- I know it's been a dry year for you being able to get very far!  Thanks again for all your time; it really helped us make a positive step toward our planned for "round the country Tumbleweed Tour" -- We'll plan to spend the next year getting comfortable with it and deciding what to take/leave, etc.  You enjoy your comfy dinette and mirror and think of us when you do!
 ThankYou

Good ideas, Ron.  Linda really likes the mirror as she thinks the glass is lots easier to clean (when I splatter.....when cooking...) - leather ,too.....when eating Grin

Marilym,

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement.  Like you say, obligations and priorities, house projects and health, it all got in the way in 2012, both financially and with available time.  But the road ahead looks smooth so we are hoping to make up next year with a nice 3 weeker out west and weekenders.

You are absolutely right.  I do think of you when I look at our updated dinette and mirror.  Thank you for the opportunity to help you.  You know it was a pleasure for me too.

I installed the leather dinette seats and stove mirror.  Here is a slideshow of my rig which now includes them.
