Anybody have any suggestions to buy blankets or comforters to fit these twin beds in the 2551?  Getting our new to us rig tomorrow.

Twins work on both beds. A specail fitted sheets for the short bed (drivers side) is nice but a regular twin bed sheet works for the long bed (passengers side). The short bed is about 2 inches short of the twin.
Current PC: 2012 2552 Full paint Cafe
First PC: 2010 2350 Full paint

We no longer own a PC. We had two of them and loved them both. Due to changing health and no longer camping, we wanted a touring coach. Phoenix does not make a class B so we had to turn to a Winnebago Travato 59K in March 2018

We carry both a blanket and a comforter for the 2551.  I bought twin blankets for each bed and a full size comforter that I cut in half and then stitched up the side.  The blankets I got at J C Penney and are very soft and light weight and the comforter I paid $26 at Target.  It is very light weight as well and works great.   Most of the time we do not need the comforter but it makes the beds look very nice during the day.  There have been times on a cold night or morning that the comforter does come in handy.

Barb,
I bought a comforter set, I believe it was a Full/Queen, cut it in half, bound the cut side (my bound side is against the wall ). It had two shams with the set so now I have two comforters as well as a pillow sham for each bed. We also bought a memory foam mattress pad, cut that in half, and that makes the mattress so much more comfortable. We use the same comforter on our 2910--the 2910 is a custom job with twin beds!

We also use fleece blankets. I believe the size was 60x70. They are a little short but not too bad.

I thought about that but my sewing machine is broken.  How did you bind the cut side?  I like this idea.  I might be able to find somebody to bind it for me.  Blankets 60 inches wide sounds too big.  My mattress is about 32 inches wide, that's 32 inches hanging over.

I bound them "by hand". I do not have a sewing machine and really have no interest in sewing! I did not like design of the comforters from Phoenix--plus they were very expensive. Went to Walmart and found just the right pattern for $25. Worked out well!

Barb,

The twin blankets are wide at 60 inches but since the mattresses are so easy to handle I put them on so that the excess is even on both sides for the overhang and then I just fold them under the mattress.  Very easy and they work great as long as they are nice soft blankets.  I use the ever soft fleece blanket from J C Penney in a twin size and we love them.

We use Travasaks that we had in a previous rv. They are now out of business, but their product was a good one. Someone else may make a similar product. It is basically a summer side/winter side sleeping bag with removable sheets. Works great on the twin beds in our 3100, but might be a little long on your driver side bed.
It's not that I'm insensitive, it's probably that I just don't care. ;)

Thanks Shipper.  I've heard of them.
