Shipper:When you were on the scales did you have full holding tanks as well as water?  Interesting that you are fairly heavy on the rear axle compared to mine at 9140...I do not have double panes so that would account for some savings for sure.

Holding tanks were empty, but fuel and water tanks were full. Maybe they just built my unit a little heavier than yours?  Wink

I don't think for me, is realistic to have holding tank AND water tank ALL full at the same time.

Denny and Barb:   I agree 100% with your line of thinking..... you would most likely never have a full water tank and holding tanks but I was just looking for what might be the max possible GVW and in particular the individual axle weights.  I have a feeling  this discussion is going to go on and on until someone has each cornered weighed with a full load on board, then we can (by model of course) really narrow the inflation exactly.   Thanks

Hi everyone! Here's the update and our apologies for being out of touch for so long--work keeps getting in the way! We are now the proud owners of the 2551 and will be taking delivery Saturday if schedules permit. Yay! Everything worked out to our satisfaction ;-)and we are looking forward to spending tomorrow night in the driveway in it (along with Fidget the wonder beagle). Then an actual road trip in a few weeks!

Your advice and info continues to be incredibly helpful with this process of getting to know our new PC. Thanks so much and look forward to learning a lot more every day!

Looking for a Ford dealer for service and warranty issues.

We live in New Hampshire around the Lakes region. All of my "local" Ford dealers within an hour or so cannot service our 2910 because of the length. The closest dealers so far are in North Hampton, NH and Westbrook, ME. These are both a couple hours away. We have a Camping World in Chichester for the RV related items, but they will not do Ford warranty work.

For owners in this area, where are you going for service and warranty work?

Thanks.

Try calling the Ford Motorhome Assistance Center at 1-800-444-3311. They've helped several of us find a nearby Ford dealer that can handle Ford warranty issues on the PC.

Just FYI - Barry and Sue have an awesome contact list on this forum that can be found at:
Main Forum > Links and Contacts > Product Contacts

They have numbers for customer service for just about any part of the PC you need help with.

I would suggest Grappone Ford Truck Center in Concord.  I use Mcfarland Ford here in Exeter for my 3100 and they treat me very well, their sister dealership is Hampton Ford.  You will not get one Ford dealership in NH to do a front end alighinment and even Westbrook, Maine truck center will not.  I had to go to Donovan Spring in Manchester and they did and OK job. I tried Ford Customer Service for alignmnet info and they were of absolutely no help.   Good luck

2 Fraz....Just did a little research and discovered as I am sure you have that Grapponne Ford Truck Center is no longer in Bow but is in Londonderry under the name of NH Ford Truck of Londonderry.  it does appear that they service cutaway vans.   I guess when Ford got out of big truck business a few years ago they closed the Bow large center.  Again, good luck!    Thanks

Thanks for the replies on locating a Ford dealership. Grappone was my first option since they service my F-150. Great dealership, but unable to service our 2910.

I called The Ford RV Assistance number after it was discussed here on the forum. Basically they provided names of Ford dealers closest to me, but not dealerships that were capable of working on the F-450 chassis. I actually had more luck using the internet and searching for Ford commercial truck service.

Will contact McFarland Ford on Monday since this is just a little over an hour away. Thanks again for the info.
