The inverter is not working again.
After having read all the posts on this inverter, it appears that my MH was built at a time when there were some bad inverters. The prior owners had never run the generator and likely never used the inverter. Will call Kermit on Monday, maybe just need to replace it.
Need help from another owner with xantrex 1800. The fuse box has been labeled by someone with very poor hand writing. Can make out a few of hieroglyphics but other are beyond legible. Could someone tell me what their two panels have written (right and left side!) for each numbered circuit.
Thanks Greg & Kathy 2010 2551S

Greg, Our 2013 2350 breaker and fuse panel read almost the same as Barry's (also in almost indecipherable writing):

12V Fuse Panel (1 to 7 are 20 amp, 8 is 3 amp): 1. Tank Heater 2. Driver Side 3. Passenger Side 4. Coach Rear 5. Water Pump 6. Water Heater/Refrigerator 7. Antenna/Awning 8. Detectors 9 to 15 Vacant

Thanks, got it now, my set up is a little different but with these i was able to figure what the handwriting said.
However, the passenger fan and driver fan. That seems strange?
Thanks again, this was a big help.

Very interesting thread and educational. First thing I am going to do is take greg's course of action and do some preventive medicine on the hinges one way or the other. It would seem anyone owning this type of frige would do this ASAP. Even if under warranty, why wait for a problem in the middle of a trip This goes back to the 2007?? and now 2012 units makes no sense. Is norcold still making this mistake? Or are these a bunch of friges built 07/08 and still being put in units? I saw post on another forum on a RV mf,, purchased a bucnch of components and used them for a couple of years. I think it was microwaves but not sure... Also, wasn't 07 08 09 very slow years in the RV business, so a manufacturer builds too much,, RV mf gets a good deal....Anyway glad this came up,,, David Sparks 2008 PC 2350 Houston

Here is follow up to my Xantrex issue.
Spoke to Kermit about the intermittent problem and he suggested since the problem has been dogging me for two years, the inverter probably has a problem. So yesterday i ordered a new 1800 about $460. Stayed with Xantrex to use all the exiting plugs.
After i ordered the new unit, i went out to the motorhome and checked the battery, tried the green on button nothing but "-- -- --" then i once again pressed the reset button on the Xantrex -- as Kermit had suggested -- it is on the lower side of my side mounted unit. Then i tried the green button again, nothing. then i turned the vehicle from "use" to "store" to "use" and for the hell of it pressed the green button on the unit, the TV came on!
I am going to replace the unit anyway, the the only thing that can go wrong after that is with the nut behind the steering wheel.

End of Chapter one:
Just got my new Xantrex 1800 and replaced the one that was misbehaving.
All is working now for the first time. So Kermit was right, the inverter was bad. For the first time the monitor is working.
Wow, now for our next trip
