We are two weeks on the road and have been using the Dometic electric awning quite a bit.  Today it will not go out, I hear a click at the motor but no action either out or in.  I have pushed, pulled and twisted to be sure it isn't binding and checked all the fuses.

Any one have a similar problem or some suggestions.  I am in Santa Fe and will try to find a service center tomorrow.

Thanks, Bob

After some online research I found that the clicking is the brake releasing even though the motor doesn't run, probably a burned out motor.  I confirmed this by holding the switch and could then manually move the awning out and in.  I only moved it a foot in case the brake release quit working as well.

I found an RV service center nearby that I will contact tomorrow morning.  Frustrating that we have only used the awning less than 20 times in the past 3 1/2 years and it already has failed.
