In Arkansas?  I thought the government shut it down permanently a while back due to lack of public interest.

I just found their website so I guess I am wrong.  Maybe they are just considering shutting it down.  I would call them to be sure it is not something planned.  You might get there and they'll be boarded up.

Gulpha Gorge Campground is a first come park, limited spots,, couple guys were on campground reviews so I think it is still open ..  just trying to figure out when to get lucky and get a spot with full hook-ups,,, I also got my senior parks pass and want to use it,,,, my fall schedule was all messed up so trying to put together a short 7 to 10 day trip.. were going to drive over to Tunica, Ms for a couple of days,,, Ozarks are very nice and fairly close to home,, I have a little itch and need to go camping a few days before winter hits here in Texas, December to January hehe.

Sparky, if you torment us frozen people with your "Texas winter", we're going to wait until it gets REALLY hot down there and torment you right back. It is expected to hit 26 degrees tonight here in Asheville NC... yee-ha! We unhooked the hoses, turned on the tank heaters, fired up the house heaters and snuggled down in our woolies to wait it out. Temps should trend back up this weekend. You might want to check weather before you roll east to camp. Canada sent us some downright nippy weather.

Yeah I know, but can not help it,,,it's 54 on my porch right now, a little nippy hehe,,,, one thing I like about Houston,  no winter, no winterization of the RV,, shorts year around,,,  it does get hot/humid in the summer,, as I get older appreciate the warm weather more and more,,,,also beomg retired, can look at the weather and do a short trip (5 to10days) and run back home life is good

Come on back up north Holly. Temp here on the shores of Lake Superior
is 47 after a low of 42 overnight.
We have had some snow, but hey, it's almost November.
Drive safe, & stay between the ditches.

What did you bribe Mother Nature with to get 45 degrees? Don't tell me it's because you've been so good, I just won't buy that one. I thought this cold came from Canada but now I'm thinking you Yoopers sent it our way. We're going to need to keep a closer eye on upper Michigan. (Hey Frank, I can't type without moving my hands either).
