Looking for advice again.  I fired up my furnace and within a few minutes my fire alarm located on the ceiling near the cab  said,  " Fire"  "Fire" .   Rear door was open.  Fire alarm has never gone off while I was using the cook top or micro wave.  It is a replacement fire alarm I installed in July.  No other alarms ( LP Leak Detector or Carbon Monoxide Alarm ) went off and I did not have a fire.  Is the fire alarm too sensitive?  I reset it and recycled the furnace 2 more times with the same result. Should I get one that just alarms with just smoke?  Or, turn off the fire alarm when I cycle on the furnace?  Is there something going on I should know about?

Thanks in advance for your insights and suggestions.  2travel   Steve

Sometimes the furnace will stink when I start it up after sitting for the summer. What I do is open the windows and the door and turn on the fantastic roof fan and let the furnace run for about 15 minutes. Then I turn the fire alarm back on. Seems to work for me.

By the way, it is not a good idea to put your full address in your profile, just the city and state, some folks only put the state. You would not want to be on here talking about your current trip or planning a trip and tell the bad guys where you live and when you will be away. pulling hair out
