Someone was asking me about the 2350 stretch.  I was quite confused until they pointed it out to me.

Here it is:  http://www.phoenixusarv.com/u?id=2014-Phoenix-Cruiser-2350-10616
Very interesting for us who like the 2350.  I wonder if the wheel base is longer.  They say it utilizes the 2552 slideout and the bed could be made a foot longer for more sleeping room and easier entry.

We might have considered it back in 2007 had it been offered then.....as is our custom, without a slide out.  This one would still fit inside our garage with just a few inches to spare.

Ron,

I wonder if the extra length would make the in-slide dinette as roomy as a non-slide dinette. Of course the above head cabinets would still be shorter; I'm talking more about the sit-ability of the dinette.

I understood that is one reason why the company stretched the 2350, to accommodate a larger slide out so a standard size dinette could be offered inside it.  A dinette in the original smaller 2350 slide out, did not fare well with those who ordered it.  There was no leg room and the table was much smaller.  Now they'll have both along with a conversion bed long enough to accommodate someone like me at 5'-11".

If someone orders the 2450 with a dinette "NOT" in a slide out, they will gain a pantry along that wall.

I am curious to know if that extra space could be placed inside the bathroom, or to make the main closet larger with two doors instead of one, having top to bottom shelving in the right half.  You'll gain a lot more storage with shelves integrated into the closet assembly, rather than a separate wall pantry assembly.

Note that this model has officially been named the 2351. Earl wrote an article for the Intervec-Phoenix Travel Club explaining this and giving the floor plan options. The slide is identical to that on the 2552 so couch, dinette, and pantry options are the same there. The extra space on the passenger side allows for a second pullout pantry or a longer corner bed. (Sorry Ron, your dream of a larger bath isn't one of the options but I figure this is good because it won't fit in your garage anyhow).

My garage RV bay measures exactly 25'-0" deep.  I would be willing to selectively grind the back concrete wall, dish it out so the front bumper fits inside a few inches just to get the garage door closed.  Maybe dish an extra inch for a rubber bumper liner.

Ron--How about replacing the garage door, framing it so that it comes out 6 inches farther?   ThumbsUp

Hi,  it sounds from this reading since the slide is the same as the 2552 you get the pantry with the dinette on the drivers side. Do you get another pantry or larger bed on the passenger side? I would go for the larger bed myself as long as you still have pantry on drivers side. Am I getting this right. Thanks thinking ThankYou

Benny,
If you get a slide, then there isn't extra space for a pantry on the dinette side.  That extra space is taken up by the nice size dinette and the slide walls.  If you get a non-slide unit, you get a pantry (or closet of that width) on the dinette side and on the passenger side you get either the same or the longer bed.  Just FYI, instead of putting the slide-out pantry into that extra foot on one or both sides, you can have a simple narrow closet that actually gives you a lot more usable space.  In my (non-slide) unit, I have the slide-out pantry between the kitchen and the bed and a closet suitable for storing tall items between the dinette and frig. I took measurements of the pantry and closet options and posted them in my thread in Photos.   Cheer

A couple of  pictures of what we did in our 2450??  2351?? We bumped our sofa up from 54" to 60" which when open is a Queen bed. We also added a built in night stand. We feel the larger sofa combined with the night stand opens up the slide out area and is much more comfortable for sleeping for my wife and I.

Dave, good looking unit. Bev and I are hoping to order this unit in a few months. The 60" couch is nice but what do you use for dining?

Benny

The units without a dinette come with a tabletop and spider legs.  It is very easy to setup and take down and stores very nice.

There is a nice table that came with the coach. It stores behind the euro chair and straps to the wall. We generally eat outside at a picnic table or on our laps.

Both the 2350 we first owned and the current 2552 have a slide out with a sofa in place of a dinette.  Both units came with the beautiful portable table with spider legs.  In each of these units we found the table awkward to use.  We now leave it at home and use four small wooden TV Tray tables.  We can move around easier and it allows many configurations.  We move these tables as needed for extra counter space, a computer station, dining, etc.  We usually place one between the driver and passenger seats and one to the right of the Euro chair.  We can easily leave the center area of the living room open for our exercise routines, etc.
