A year ago, we brought home our gently used (48,000 miles) 08' 2551. Since then we've enjoyed making short trips and getting ready for a 3 week cross country trip planned for this fall. We have put a lot of effort into getting our PC to drive better. Thanks to all the resources on this forum, we've made a significant improvement since that first drive home. Over the winter, we installed new Bilstein shocks, anti sway bars, and a Safe T Plus steering stabilizer. We also discovered that the source of an annoying vibration was a bent wheel. After getting our front Michelin tires replaced thanks to the recall, we finally, we removed the wheel covers and painted the wheels to make the job of daily air pressure checks easier. If you've bought a used RV with a good number of miles, or if you have put a lot of miles on yourself, these upgrades can make a real difference in driving effort and control. I think that it would be great if RV manufacturers offered these upgrades as a "handling package" at the time of purchase. Again, we appreciate all the information and advice that we received last year. If your rig is wallowing down the road, these improvements can really help.

Great post!

The suspension upgrades benefit all PCs, but especially the 2007 and older chassis.  The upgrades are most beneficial for the 2007 and older "E350" chassis because they never came with a rear stabilizer bar to begin with.  Just adding a heavy duty rear stabilizer bar alone to an older E350 will do miracles.
