My old RV's generator would start if there was a loss of shore power. We always worry about this since we sometimes leave our pups in the coach when we go out. Does our 2350 do this, and if not, how can we get it installed?

No it does not have auto start.
Check out this: http://power.cummins.com/onanpowerWeb/navigation.do?pageId=613&parentId=521&linkName=Energy%20Command%20Controls

It cost about $600.
