Why do you (Barry-Sue) prefer Maxxair over Fantastic fans?
Wouldn't do without my ladder which gives me access to solar panel on roof.

Cutting the sink cover: did some of you cut it in half, i.e. from left to right (or right to left)?

We have both a Fantastic Fan and a Maxxair fan in our PC.  I have been thinking about replacing the Fantastic Fan but just have not developed enough courage to do it.

I find the Maxxair has a few advantages over the Fantastic-Fan.  The Maxxair has a wider selection of fan speeds, very quiet (almost silent on low speeds), has built in rain guard (with good air flow), when closed it acts as a ceiling fan for air circulation, the screen is easier to remove and clean and when closed it presents a low profile on the PC roof.

We had our sink cover cut East - West.

At the factory they took the cover to the back room and cut it, so I don't know which way. Just as long as it was side to side and not through the handle. Some day I will stare at it and try to figure out which way they cut it. Might take all afternoon. LOL
