I downloaded the latest version of Home and updated my TomTom/Eclipse II. I cannot set the time on it. It is showing me Eastern Daylight time. I would prefer it show me the local time.

I cannot even find out what model Tom Tom I have. Its serial number starts with DA which is supposed to tell me something.

Any suggestions? shrug

Hi:

On my Tom Tom, you touch the screen once  after you turn it on and the main menu will come up.  Then you press "change preferences", arrow over to screen 5 and press set clock. On your Tom Tom it may not be screen 5, just look for the icon "set clock"  It will ask you how time should be displayed, choose which one you want. Hit done.  The next screen allows you to manually set the time by using the up and down arrow keys. Hit done at the end to save. Good luck.

Thanks. That seems to work.

Why in heck doesn't the TomTom automatically update to local time, based on where it is?? The satellites certainly know what time it is. My Gramin does that. I am perturbed that the TomTom doesn't.

On the last page where you can manually set clock, you could just hit sync and it will do what you want. My understanding of the time thing is that some people like to stay on the same "time" as home and if it changes automatically it ticks people off.  Damned if you do and damned if you don't I guess.
