...one more thing. Thought this was interesting about weather in St. John. Think it was in Wikipedia:

Of all the major Canadian cities, St. John's is the foggiest (124 days, next to Halifax's 122), snowiest (359 centimeters (141 in), next to Quebec City's 343 centimeters (135 in)), wettest (1514 millimeters (59.6 in), next to Halifax's 1491 millimeters (58.7 in)), windiest (24.3 km/h (15.1 mph) average speed, next to Regina's 20.7 km/h (12.9 mph)), and cloudiest (1,497 hours of sunshine, next to Charlottetown's 1,818 hours).[34] St. John's has one of the mildest winters in Canada (third mildest city next to Victoria and Vancouver), yet has the most freezing rain days of any major Canadian cityOf all the major Canadian cities, St. John's has one of the mildest winters in Canada (third mildest city next to Victoria and Vancouver), yet has the most freezing rain days of any major Canadian city.

THANK YOU, Paul (and Marilyn!) -- for the info -- I read a similar story on the weather on the RV.net - last year they said summer didn't arrive until August 18!!!!  We plan to leave MD July 10 or so and want to be back the middle of August....Good thing we have a heater!!!  I'd like to spend a little time in NS (Cape Britain), and also see PEI, but I think that will be another trip.  We're not traveling from Texas of course, but we'll need some travel time up & back and want to see the island.  The friends we are traveling with have been to both places, so we will discuss next week when we get together to plan the trip.
Again, thanks for the info -- we're looking forward to it, and I'll let you know how it goes!  :-D  I'll also pass on your weather info next week!!!! :'(

Jack
