A question for those of you with the Apollo 1/2 time oven.  I tried using it tonight- set the microwave to run for 5 1/2 mins.  After running almost the full time, it started beeping non stop and showed a code of PP:PP.  It kept beeping until I finally hit the reset button.  Once the time was reset, it held the correct time.  The small manual/ instruction booklet does not mention any error codes.  I am hesitant to use it again until I know what happened.  The microwave has only been used about 4 times.  The first time it turned itself off.  Next two times used for about 5 mins each time and was fine.
Would any one know what the error code was for?
Thanks-

Roni,

I would call Midwest Sales and Service, Inc. at 800-772-7262.  They handle all service calls for the half time oven.  Try them anytime, I think they answer calls even on Sunday.

Sue,
Thanks-I will try to get them tomorrow.
Do you have the Apollo- if so, have you had any issues with it.

Roni,

Yes, I have the Apollo oven.  In the 2350 we had a Sharp convection oven and I loved it.  I wanted the same in this 2551 but with the new design for the vent I couldn't get it so I had to get the Apollo.  Knock on wood but my worked for the three months in FL and I used it constantly in all three modes.  Mostly convection for baking and microwaving for reheating.  I have never found anything as to what the error codes mean.  Your code PP:PP could have meant just a power surge or low voltage and it just needed to be restarted.  I have read about this on several forums but no one ever mentioned what the error code was.

Heck try to call them tonight if you want.  They may answer the phone.  Let us know what they say.  Thanks.

Sue- we are in a campground that surprisingly doesn't get a Verizon signal.  We will try on our way out tomorrow.  I'll definitely let you know how it goes.

Sue,   Wanted to follow up.  I called Midwest.  I was told to get an appliance service place or RV service place that deals with microwaves to check it.  She felt it was probably a control board problem.  She wasn't sure what the code was.  We are not even one full month over the one year warranty.  We have a call in to Kermit.  We are really not happy about this.  As I mentioned, we have only used the microwave a few times.

Roni,

I feel really bad for you.  That was always my one concern about these Apollo ovens.  I just don't know if they can stand the rigors of a recreational vehicle.  Many manufacturers use them but that still doesn't mean they are that good.  Are you going to be traveling near Elkhart - or could you make a side trip?  I would think if you could get your SANI CON and OVEN seen by the folks at PC you might have better luck.

Sue,
Youu have probably seen my other post.  We are going to take a special trip to Elkhart.  Besides the 2 issues, we also need our rear view camera/ mirror replaced.  The model has been discontinued and sounds like it involves a lot of rewiring.  We would rather get it done correctly.  Also, Kermit will replace the microwave, but it will still be the Apollo.  We just need to figure out travel plans and make the appointment.
Thanks for your responses.
