There are a handful of spots left for the 2021 Annual Reunion in Spearfish, SD. The reunion kicks off at Spearfish City Campground on Sunday, September 19th with departure Friday, September 24th.

We have additions and cancellations every week so the number fluctuates but we’ll have around 45 rigs rolling into Spearfish. If you’ve been to a PCTC Reunion, you KNOW you want to go to another. If you haven’t been, this is your chance. We’ll be doing many of the usual things and a few new ones:

- Welcome BBQ: Our grill crew is ready to go. This year we will have the BBQ on the first night to get everyone together and socializing to kick off our awesome reunion.

- Club sponsored Bingo: No charge to members and a chance to win prizes… and to steal them. We hope to stir it up a bit this year so drop the quiet, nice guy persona and get ready to go all in for White Elephant Bingo!

- Day trip: Get on the bus and explore in comfort while someone else drives. We’ll be going through beautiful Spearfish Canyon, checking out a gold mine, touring the historic Old West town of Deadwood (and visiting Boot Hill) and stopping at Kevin Costner’s “Tatonka, Story of the Bison.” It will be a most excellent day! This day trip is optional.

- Open house: Ever wonder how other people have customized their rigs? This is your chance to check it out. Members can also display their cool camping toys. This activity is guaranteed to get your brain working on how to put some of these ideas into play for you. I’ll put out my “suitcase” table. I bought it immediately after I spotted it at an open house a few years back and love it! Many fun and useful items will be on display. Some will be “must haves” that you never knew you needed.

- Group meals: We’re having four breakfasts and one dinner catered (dinner courtesy of Phoenix USA RV) PLUS that BBQ the first night.

- Group Campfire: We’ll gather, chat and relax around a blazing fire while we enjoy the beautiful fall colors of the Black Hills.

- Hot Cocoa Bar: This is a totally new one. There will be all kinds of goodies to mix and match to customize your beverage. We can’t SERVE alcohol, but you can bring your favorite spirits to kick it up a notch if desired. Several alcoholic drinks meld beautifully with hot cocoa.

- We have a brown bag permit for all five days of the reunion so members can bring their chosen beverages to all in-camp activities without the need to disguise them (no alcohol on the bus, please). You may share, you just can’t sell, and the club can’t “serve”.

- Morning meet ups: A multi-use trail runs right along the campground and trout stream. We’ll have groups going out to walk, bike, run, etc. Get a little exercise in before breakfast (or set your chair out by the fire ring, relax with your morning coffee and watch the people roll by).

- Social hours: These will be simple gatherings in the late afternoons. Sit, relax, and discuss your day with friends both old and new. If the budget allows, chips or other light snacks will be supplied by the club.

- Factory Representation: We all know that plans can change but currently Tina Cooper, Co-owner of Phoenix USA RV, plans to attend. This is your chance to meet the makers and hear factory news and updates firsthand.

- Meeting Hall: Snapper’s Club is smack dab in the middle of the campsites I’ve reserved; no long walks to get to activities. We have full use of the building all five days and five nights. There is a small kitchen, tables and chairs, beautiful fireplace, outdoor gathering area with firepit and two propane grills for our use. The hall has heating and air conditioning so we will be lounging in comfort no matter what weather Mother Nature tosses at us (it could be 70 or it could snow). Weather is one thing we cannot guarantee. Come prepared. Whatever it does, we’ll have fun.

- D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery: this historic hatchery abuts the campground and is free. You can wander the grounds, check out the Railcar, Yellowstone Boat, Museum, Booth House, fish runs and even feed the fish. It’s a wonderful place to take a walk, read a few signs and enjoy a beautifully preserved piece of history.
