Had it done about a year ago. No problem before and can't tell any difference. It took an hour or so.

General Discussion / Re: Bedding for our PC?

Check out "ablifestyles.net". We have been ordering bedding from them for 8 years now and have been very pleased with their products Made in the USA and they will custom make sheets if they do not have what you need in stock.

I would love to hear what you find out about the retrofit if you contact Stewarts.

I worked in tire manufacturing for over 36 years and I would never run tires more than 7 years old. This is especially important on something like a motorhome. Some manufacturers have stated that tires over a certain age should not be used, others have not done so. My guidelines are what I follow personally.

We haul 2 on top of our Subaru tow car. We have made 2 trips cross country with no problems. I do lock them to the racks.

General Discussion / Re: Florida Panhandle Camping

We stayed at Topsail Hill near Santa Rosa beach in 2014. The campground was nice and it is within walking distance of the beach. Plenty of trails for bicycling and walking. We plan on going back in February. The best campsites, in my opinion, are the ones in a square area marked on the campground map. I believe the rates are $42 per night.

we considered having it done on our 2910D but decided not to as we do not live in an area that salts the roads and we do not camp near the beach. i did not see how the process could reduce noise that much. no regrets so far.

General Discussion / Re: Towing lights not working

We were just north of Salt Lake City last summer and the inverter went out on our previous motorhome. We got the same type response from Camping World. Long story short, try South Valley RV Repair in Wellsville, Utah. 435-245-4746. They came to our site and completed the replacement of the inverter. They were excellent to work with.

I noticed just yesterday that I have a kink in the clear bypass hose. What exactly is the hose for? I am not mechanically inclined, but assume that removing the hose and shortening it is no big deal?

General Discussion / Re: MPG - E450 - four summers

We have only had our PC for a few months now and have only taken short trips. We almost always tow our Subaru and I have always had the PC in tow/haul mode when towing. Am I doing this correctly? I know the original post was about MPG and apologize for going in another direction.

Tips and Tricks / Re: Reinforcing Your Norcold Fridge Door Hinges
« on: August 10, 2015, 05:18:53 pm »
I am curious to know if the new models still have the broken hinge issue or if Norcold has corrected the problem. How do I know if I need the insurance of the reinforced hinge?

General Discussion / Re: Single A/C vs. Dual A/C

We have the D. We looked at lots of units after we decided to downsize. I was most impressed with the PC. The price point was right for us. So far, we are happy with our decision.

We ordered our 2910 with 2 AC units and are glad we did. In 2 months of ownership and only 2 weeks so far at campgrounds, we have used both units on multiple occasions. We previously had a 40' diesel with 2 AC units and there were several times we wished we had had 3 units. We are is SC so we have a good understanding of heat and humidity. We are on our third week so far this summer with highs in the high nineties and over 100 on several occasions. I was told that the 15,000 BTU would be plenty. Glad I went with my experience.
