General Discussion / Re: Build weight

Since we have a 2910 I have to ask, how real of an issues is the tire blow out thing?  When I search the forums I find maybe 2 or 3 discussions of blow outs and some of those are for the recalled tires.

I understand what you are saying about weigh and capacity, but find it hard to believe PC is selling $150K rigs that you cant use (exaggeration).

Not trying to argue, just trying to determine how real the problem is.

General Discussion / Re: Full Replacement Insurance Coverage

We have our cars and our house with State Farm. We have the RV with nationwide. The nationwide policy has an agreed to replacement amount and the premiums were less with nationwide.

Tips and Tricks / Navigation System
« on: November 27, 2019, 07:08:55 am »
Our factory dash GPS is very slow, is hard to see from the drivers seat, and not very useful for scrolling around on the map.  We installed a RAM mount and iPad holder and started out using Google and Apple Maps.  This was a near disaster when my wife was driving, I wasn't paying attention, and it automatically rerouted us onto a Parkway in NY with 8-foot underpasses.  We almost had a B- rig.

After some research we tried and liked the Sygic Truck Navigation App.  Like the dash unit, you program it for your rig specification so it won't route you places you should not be.  There is a subscription cost but it includes traffic and the like.  It runs on the phone and iPad and is easy to see and use, and you can scroll around on the maps.

We have a King dish, not Winguard, but I'll offer this input anyhow.  (1) King does not work with the DirecTV Genie hardware, had to buy an old technology box (may have been an HR-24) and add it to the account (like mikeh).  (2) SD only but looks OK.....

In hindsight I would have probably gone with a Dish compatible system.

Tips and Tricks / No cold feet with sewn sheets
« on: September 11, 2019, 12:13:48 pm »
We have a walk around queen short bed.  And yes, it's too short.  We sew the flat sheet to the bottom of the fitted sheet to keep them from pulling out.  Works good, feet stay in...

Your shelf must be much deeper than on a 2910.  Our shelf is maybe only 2/3 as deep as the drawer.

Our frig is on the passenger side so i was able to tap into that line.

Yes, Q1200.  Fits without disassembly.  Also added a quick connect to compartment ahead of door and a hose on the grill....

Had to raise the shelf 3-inches now it fits.  Next, Im going to install a second shelf that hinges down from above to store the mat in the upper portion of the compartment.

General Discussion / Re: Location of fuse for awning on 2012 model 3100
« on: September 08, 2019, 06:57:34 pm »
Couldn't find mine on a 2016 2910.  Turns out it wasn't the fuse anyhow, the awning will not work when the truck engine is running.  FYI
