ragoodsp - what brand of wireless lights do you have?  Found a number on line with mixed reviews, I am currently having issues which I think might be corrison/shorting related.   Wireless might be the best long term fix.
We have all Blue Ox and are pretty much happy with them and their support which we have used several times.    If considering a portable braking  system I advise a through look at on line reviews.

Another slide issue is uninvited guess.  This week we had a Carolina wren building a nest under the awning  in ours. Luckily I spotted her before bringing it in. Consulted with the parks ranger and he removed it. Fortunately she hadn't gotten to far along with it. It was a good reminder to look it over throughly prior to pulling it in.

If you haven't found it yet a great source of information  on sprinters can be found  on the Sprinter Source -Sprinter Forum.
I've learned a great deal about the unique driving and maintenance issues associated with Sprinters there, including the issues  associated with bio-diesel which is becoming more prevalent.
As far as The DEF issues we have been on the road since December and driven about 8000 miles, started with a full  tank and just had the light come on last week.   Last year we  had  the light go on and off which was related to a faulty sensor, that we had replaced under warranty.

This past weekend in preparation for our next trip I  extended the slide to do some lubricating  and noticed the metal strip on the bottom of the coach opening where it meets the bottom of the slide had a fair amount of rust on it.
Should clean up with a light sanding and some touch up paint when and if we find warmer weather

We have had  a number brake also,  including the wardrobe door with the two sets.  Keep a stock on hand that PC supplied us with.  Our granddaughter has been making colorful elastic bands for us from her Rainbow Loom kit for the cabinet doors, look nice and so far are working nicely.
Our bathroom door fell off last week.  The hinges are adequate for cupboards but questionable for a door with a mirror.  1/2 inch # 4 screws attached it.  It is temporarily repaired with 1" #8 screws and tooth picks until we get home.
Saw a PC southbound on I81 south of Roanoke Va yesterday.

Sorry if I didn't make my initial post clearer, I realize that Ultra low sulfur diesel is the fuel of choice for the Sprinter and not biodiesel, MB specifies that if biodiesel is used, however, that the maximum mixture is 5% or B5, any higher  they claim will cause severe engine damage.  In some areas of the country, as I stated previously owners have not been able to locate ULSD or even B5 but fuel pumps labeled "Biodiesel B5-B20".  It seems more common in the Midwest or areas where there is a strong soybean lobby, although I did read of someone having trouble on I-95 in Virginia.
If you Google Sprinter dealerships in Minnesota you will see that they are still selling them, so I agree that it would be very interesting to hear from someone in that area.
For the record Minn. plans on switching back to B5 for the colder months of the year, have also read that in 2015 they are upping the mixture even higher.

 That may have been the case, but it appears  as of July 1st Minnesota mandates at least 10% biodiesel and may be going higher in 2015.

A question for those with PC's on Sprinter chassis,  I have been reading on other forums about difficulties in some areas of the county where owners have not been able to easily find diesel fuel that meets Mercedes specification of B5 or lower.
Yesterday I was in the Sprinter dealership in Bangor Maine and spoke to the service manger about the problem, he said he had just seen a service bulletin advising "if unable to find the right mixture, rather that shutting down and sitting on the side of the road, to purchase enough biodiesel to get to the next available station. then fill up with compatible fuel as soon as possible."  Probably not necessary to have an automotive degree to reach a similar conclusion.
He also indicated he had heard that in an emergency using Sea Foam motor treatment "might help".  We currently use it by the bucket full to counter act the damage ethanol causes on engines such as chain saws, outboards and any engine going into storage.
Would like to hear what experience or information others might have on this issue.

The gasket construction is of a hard rubber channel type that presses on to the cover and there does appear to be some type of residue on the cover itself, probably the glue you refer to. Softer rubber tubing portion of the gasket is the main culprit, as this has peeled away from the harder material in many places.

Removed the cover on the spare tire today to check pressure and discovered the rubber gasket is in need of replacement.  Any suggestions on type and a source?.

Visiting Acadia in October is a great time.  You will miss the crowds, but as that is Columbus day weekend you might experience some significant traffic jams on the way up.  Our weather at that time is totally unpredictable, so come prepared for just about anything, so much to do even foul weather can't spoil it.
What route are you taking through Maine?  If you take the normal Route 1 trip there will be lots to see on the way, some require a little detour but will be worth it.
Freeport is probably the first stop for many if you want to shop and visit LL Bean.  Rockland is the next stop you might want to make with lots of art galleries and a great museum, Camden is just up the road with lots of nice shops, parking can be an issue, however,  Camden Hills State Park is there and a good place to spend the night.  Further up route 1 is Searsport with a another great museum.  Side trips after Searsport would involve going down the various peninsulas to Blue Hill, Castine, Brooklyn, all relatively short trips off the main drag.   I think as previously said the national park bus, Island Explore, stops running on Columbus day which is too bad as it is a great way of getting around.
My rant doesn't even include Acadia.  if I we can provide any other information- please ask.

We are currently in the Good Sam cg in Decatur Alabama, not to be recommended, assuming you can find it, took us for ever. We are opposite what I believe is a refinery.  We spent a night last week in the White Oaks site and found it very nice.

We live on the Maine coast between Harpswell and Arcadia and as new PC owners  would very much enjoy meeting other owners.
