Sofa in 2551
« on: February 23, 2014, 10:01:35 am »
Just wondering if any owners of 2551 model have replaced the standard sofa with a dual recliner or incliner sofa? Just looking for a comfortable place to relax and enjoy my morning coffee. Not sure how long the factory sofa is as I am unable to find that information on the factory site.
Thank You

The current sofa is a dual recliner in that the two sections recline independent of each other. Watch some of the videos model to see it in action. Yes the sofa can be replaced with two chairs and a small table if you want.

I am looking on line at a used 2011 2551 and not sure if it has the reclining sofa. Will have to try and make the drive down and see how it works. Called the dealer and do not believe they understood what I was asking.
Thank You

This sofa in my 2551 2010 is the most uncomfortable sofa and don't plan on using the air mattress and would love to have the dual recliners.  Do I have to travel to Phoenix to get them installed?

We had the fold out couch with the air mattress and heard so many horror stories on the air mattress, so we drove back to PC and had that unit taken out and the couch with the dual reclining individual seats, with extendable foot rest, installed.  That was in our 2552.  Took an hour or two to complete and well worth it.  With both seats relined with the foot rest out, you have a large bed.  I do not remember the cost, but it was satisfactory for us.

We had it installed in our  2551, and love it. Only thing
is there is still no way to watch TV with any comfort.
Only way is I guess is to relocate it!

I agree that the factory installed sofa is extremely uncomfortable.  We pulled ours out last week and gently placed it in the dump.  We are using nice lawn chairs until we find a 54 inch wide love seat or sofa.

We have been using our new sofa for 3 months now and are very pleased.  Here is the link to the original post with pictures if anyone is interested.
