Periodically I would buy the Trailer Life Campground directory (now the Good Sam directory).  Woodalls had a very similar directory.  Recently I went to AAA and they handed me 7 directories (separated by geographic region) titled Woodalls/AAA campground guide. 

They are just like the older Woodalls/Trailer Life guides.  Since I am a member they said they are free (at least in Michigan).  Very nice because I just have to carry the regions we will be traveling in.

AAA has been providing these guides for years and they are great. Sometimes I will just tear out the state(s) I am going to. Save weight wherever you can.They also have small guides to many of the more popular national parks. All free to AAA members. If you don't have an AAA office near, as a member you can order over the internet.
     There is also several campground directory apps for smart phones and tablets and most are free.
