My new 2552 came with four reading lights, two over the sofa and one over each of the twin beds. The lights use a regular bulb, number 1139IF 12v 12w. After it is on for a few minutes, it gets very hot. I would like to replace it with an LED bulb or as a last resort an LED fixture. I have looked all over the internet including the Camping World site and can not find any reference to a 1139IF bulb. Camping World has one 4 inch fixture that looks like it might be replacement for what I have but they cost $50 each. Does anyone know where I might find a replacement LED bulb? P.S. If you have this reading light, don't take the bulb out. I just spent 15 minutes in the cold trying to put it back in and could not. There is not enough room between the bulb and the housing to push the bulb in and turn it. I will have to try again another time. Be warned.

We no longer own a PC. We had two of them and loved them both. Due to changing health and no longer camping, we wanted a touring coach. Phoenix does not make a class B so we had to turn to a Winnebago Travato 59K in March 2018

Our coach is all T5 (thin) 1 foot (I think!) fluorescent fixtures. Becuz we dry camp and boondock a lot with our solar and 6v batteries, any opportunity to "sip" power is appreciated. Has anyone replaced the T5 fluorescent bulbs? What do you think of these? I like the price! And the fact you can choose the color range. I'm told that 1 bulb can provide nearly the same light output as the 2 bulbs in our fixtures. http://tinyurl.com/LED-t5-bulbsDeena

I would love to change out our flourecent bulbs with those direct substitution LED bulbs, but only if they emit soft white light like incandecent bulbs do for a warm feeling inside the motor home. We don't like the cold blue light from the flourecents, but won't change them out for incandecent fixtures to stay easy on our batteries.

We really like the lights in our early model 2012. When you flip the switch in one direction you have the flourescent lighting and when you flip the switch in the other direction you get a soft light similar to incandecent lighting and is a very nice warm lighting. Every light fixture in our 2551 has this feature. We understand that the lighting company that made these no longer carry them.

When you flip the switch in one direction you have the fluorescent lighting and when you flip the switch in the other direction you get a soft light similar to incandescent lighting and is a very nice warm lighting. Sue Hi Sue. Your light fixtures intrique me. Have you inspected one of your lights? How is the soft light created? Is the fixture a dual bulb system with both fluorescent and incandesent bulbs? I assume the soft light is created with incandescent bulbs, but if not, then how? Does the soft light make as much light as the flourecent light, or is it significantly less to be like mood lighting? I would love to see a picture inside a PC at night with all lights on, set both ways.

Ron, Here is a link http://www.optronicsinc.com/liteco-new.html to the lights that we have in our 2012 2551. We have the starburst series. We cannot find the manufacturers name on our lights but they look exactly like these. They have the two cool white bulbs that light up when the switch is in one direction and the nightlight festoon bulb when the switch is in the other direction. The nightlights are very nice at night. Sometimes we just use one of the lights at night when watching TV at other times we may use a couple of lights. If we get a chance tonight we will try to take some pictures. Sue

Thanks Sue. I would love to see some pictures of your interior with both types of lighting. Looking at the website, it appears the non-fluorescent festoon bulb is the type used in car dome lights. Though advertised as a low light nightlight, I still like it very much for when we want to relax after cooking and cleanup. Here is a festoon bulb.

Here's a couple of pics--One with all the bright fluorescent lights on and the other with all the "nightlights" on. When watching TV we usually just have one in the bedroom area turned on or the one over the sink. Gives us a nice "low" light throughout the PC.

As I imagined, those night lights are real nice, much more like home. I wish we had that integrated night lighting. Thanks for the pictures.
